Lenovo's latest flatscreen all-in-one just broke cover and it's an Intel Nvidia mash-up made in heaven. Behind the 16:9 18.5-inch 1366x768 screen hides a dual-core Intel Atom D510 CPU, which isn't too bad on its own, but the optional touchscreen and GeForce G210 GPU makes it into a solid multipurpose desktop. Of course you're not going to be running Crysis 2 on it, but it should handle full-screen Farmville without sweating.

A charming young buck by the name of John Herlihy of Google Europe believes, like most people in the Western World that desktop PCs will be dead in the next few years. However, he believes they'll become irrelevant by the year 2013, which may put a damper on some PC makers' sales forecasts.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about in regards to desktop PCs, then Woot! has a pretty stellar deal on a quad-core Gateway system with 8GB of RAM for $480 – it’s refurbished but carries a 90-day warranty.
