Verizon’s V CAST Video for Android now available, runs $10 a month
Posted on June 7, 2010 | No Comments
Android owners on Verizon now have a new (albeit pricey) way to bide their time as they wait in grocery store checkout lines, doctors' offices, traffic jams, DMVs, and Engadget Show entrance gates, because Big Red is flipping the switch today on its V CAST Video offering for every Google-powered handset to hit its network so far. The Droid, Droid Eris, Devour, Droid Incredible, and Ally are all equipped to take advantage of the app, which claims to offer over 230 full-length shows spanning over 40 programming providers -- but the downside is that it'll cost you $10 a month on top of your data plan, the same that V CAST Video On Demand runs on Verizon's other phones. If you're willing to take the plunge, look for it in the Market right away.Continue reading Verizon's V CAST Video for Android now available, runs $10 a month

Motorola is in the black and selling phones
Posted on April 29, 2010 | No CommentsNow here’s a turnaround I never expected. According to a recent results filing, Motorola is working its way back into solvency and is turning a profit and shipping devices like crazy. The company took a slight loss in mobile sales – about $192 million – but that’s far lower than $550 million last year. In truth, [...] -
Best Buy becomes equalizer for DROID and DEVOUR, selling both for $99.99
Posted on February 23, 2010 | No CommentsAs if gadget choices weren’t complicated enough, Best Buy might be making your Verizon Android handset decisions a lot more difficult. According to Best Buy’s Facebook page, the DROID is dropping down to just $99.99 with the DEVOUR going for the same exact rate when it’s released on February 25. So many choices, so little [...] -
Motorola Devour going for $150 at Best Buy
Posted on February 18, 2010 | No CommentsIt’s the handset that Megan Fox used to make men crumble everywhere, and now it looks like the Motorola DEVOUR can be had at Best Buy pretty soon. At $149.99, it’s $50 less than the DROID, but of course, there are the bells and whistles. If the grainy picture above is accurate, you’ll need to sign [...] -
Megan Fox introduces Motorola DEVOUR and looks face-slappingly good
Posted on February 7, 2010 | No Comments
For me, the best part of the Super Bowl is the commercials. And after you see this one, you may have to agree. Just note that you'll have to play the video several times over before you realize there's a phone there - the Motorola DEVOUR with MOTOBLUR, to be exact. So, what happens when Megan Fox uses her DEVOUR to send out a hot, wet image via a social network?

Motorola DEVOUR recently announced and already getting fondled
Posted on February 3, 2010 | No Comments
Well that didn't take too long at all. Just this morning, the Motorola DEVOUR with MOTOBLUR was announced, and now in-the-wild pics and hands on impressions are surfacing on the web. Pictured next to the Nexus One, the DEVOUR looks much smaller than it does in press images. So how does it feel and what can be expected from the device?

Verizon comes clean and announces the Android-powered Motorola DEVOUR with MOTOBLUR
Posted on February 3, 2010 | No Comments
The Verizon-bound Motorola Devour wasn't much of a secret after the retail packaging leaked last week. We knew it was coming, but not so soon because big red VZW just announced it to the world. Don't get too excited though, it's not a Droid replacement as Android 1.6 is powering it instead of 2.0.

Verizon getting Palm Pre Plus and Android-powered Motorola Devour?
Posted on December 18, 2009 | No CommentsWe're still not totally clear on how exactly Verizon intends to enter (or rather, re-enter) the Palm stage in 2010; we know there's definitely a WiFi-equipped CDMA Pixi out there that'll likely find its way into Big Red's clutches, but otherwise, we really need to wait for this event at CES next month. Well, maybe -- we've got another little clue here in the form of some tips to PhoneArena stating that a "Pre Plus" has found its way into the carrier's systems, which fits in nicely with info we'd previously received from one of our trusted sources that Verizon's Pre would be somehow "different" from Sprint's though we don't yet know how. As far as we can tell, this isn't the same as that WiFi Pixi (wouldn't it be confusing if it was?), so we should probably expect at least two webOS models on Verizon over the next few months. In other news, that Motorola Calgary (pictured) appears to be shaping up as the "Devour" with a 3 megapixel cam and Blur running on Android 2.1 -- yes, 2.1, not 1.5, which should give hope to CLIQ owners that an update is probably in the works. Finally, there's talk of an LG VS750 in a mega-thin form factor running WinMo 6.5 with global roaming capability, but we don't have a picture of that one just yet. Anyhow, back to the Pre Plus, we're accepting all guesses as to what the "Plus" in the name might stand for -- 16GB of integrated storage or a microSD slot seem like obvious candidates, but feel free to get creative with us.
