Google announces Android press conference for January 5th
Posted on December 29, 2009 | No Commentsdigg_url = 'http://digg.com/gadgets/Google_to_hold_Android_event_January_5th_Nexus_One_likely'; Well well. Look at this. Taking a page from the CES-challenging Apple / Macworld playbook, Google has announced a press event on January 5th (just like we told you) in Mountain View, stating:
If this lines up with the news we've seen recently, it's likely a Nexus One announcement will be the order of the day, and most (if not all) of your nagging questions will get answered. You know we'll be there live... so hang on to your hats, and mark down the date! With the launch of the first Android-powered device just over a year ago, we've seen how a powerful, open platform can spur mobile product innovation. And this is just the beginning of what's possible.

Palm invites us to ’see and hear what’s new’ at CES 2010
Posted on December 15, 2009 | No CommentsCES 2009 was a biggie for Palm, what with webOS and the Pre and all. Will they top it in 2010? And if so, how? A Verizon partnership seems plausible, if not likely -- but otherwise, your guess is as good as ours. Anyhow, keep it locked right here next month and you'll be finding out just as we do!

T-Mobile sending out early November event invites for Bold 2 launch?
Posted on October 10, 2009 | No CommentsFiled under: Handsets, RIM, T-Mobile
We're not sure whether we'll see official PR before then, but it seems that T-Mobile is quietly slipping lucky individuals invites to "executive briefing" events for the upcoming Onyx / 9700 / Bold 2 to be held early next month. Boy Genius Report so far seems to have the inside line on a November 3 date in LA followed by November 5 in the Big Apple, and like pretty much everything else BlackBerry-related, "business casual" attire is suggested. Certainly seems to match up nicely with a November 11 retail launch, doesn't it?T-Mobile sending out early November event invites for Bold 2 launch? originally appeared on Engadget Mobile on Sat, 10 Oct 2009 21:44:00 EST.
