Xperia Pureness available now – includes concierge service, avarice
Posted on December 14, 2009 | No CommentsGreat news for the disposable income crowd: The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness is finally available online through Saks Fifth Avenue -- and it can be yours for a mere $990. According to some seriously high-minded PR, the sleek and feature-poor handset "represents an alternative approach to life in the complex, digital age by refining the mobile phone to its most essentials functions." You see, this bad boy "is not simply about a phone; it is about opening a debate about people's relationship with technology in a complex world." Got that? In case you're still not sold, did we mention that the purchase price includes a concierge service? Although we don't know for sure, it's probably not a leap to assume that this "concierge" is a help desk employee somewhere who could feed his village for a month with the grand you dropped on a cell phone. PR after the break.Continue reading Xperia Pureness available now - includes concierge service, avarice

Virtual pinball machine looks cool, may be missing flippers
Posted on November 5, 2009 | No Comments
A virtual pinball machine sounds like a really good idea. No less then 17 tables, on a LCD display (so the playfield doesn't wear out). Best yet, the virtual pinball machine has some of the most famous Gottlieb games like 2001 and Gold Strike. Sure, it's expensive, but compared to the cost of actually buying 17 pinball machines? It's quite reasonable. And takes up a lot less space in the ol man cave.

TAG Heuer Meridiist Lamborghini model announced, snickered at
Posted on November 2, 2009 | No CommentsIn the market for an over-priced luxury handset? Do you equate luxury with a brand name, snakeskin, perhaps even a feature phone with all but the barest of "features?" You're in luck! Once again looking to give Vertu a run for its money, Tag Heuer has upped the ante with its newest, the Meridiist Automobili Lamborghini. In addition to that world famous 1.9-inch sapphire crystal display, 2 megapixel camera, media player, Bluetooth, and roughly seven hours of talk time, this guy throws the Lamborghini logo into the mix. Available in a limited edition of 1963 (the date that its namesake was first sold), look for it sometime this month at selected TAG Heuer and Lamborghini retailers -- which we're sure you frequent anyways. PR after the break.

Sure, a £3,500 Motorola phone. Sounds good to me.
Posted on October 23, 2009 | No CommentsLet's be honest for a second here: unless we're talking about the Motorola Droid, which should be on Verizon Wireless within a few weeks, we might as well not be talking about Motorola. It'd be like talking about Real Madrid and only mentioning Granero or Drenthe and not Cristiano Ronaldo or Kaká. (Good, making references that all of 11 people will understand.) But we're going to that such a thing right now in talking about the Motorola Aura Diamond Edition. It's £3,500, which converts to, roughly, $5,700. Yeah…
