Droid made to work with iPod docks using unholy homemade adapter
Posted on June 17, 2010 | No CommentsWhat, our ultra-special Droid dock's not enough for you? There's now another way to avoid buying Motorola's official accessories, though this one's a bit more blasphemous. Thijs Bosschert over in the Netherlands has put together a fully fledged adapter for his Milestone (aka Droid European Edition), which allows it to interface with docks designed for iPods and iPhones. He's done it using mostly parts he had lying around -- and a well-placed magnet, of course -- though he had to resort to using the 3.5mm headphone jack to extract audio from the device. The result might not look like a million bucks, but then it didn't cost that much either. See more pictures and Thijs' full how-to guide at the source.Droid made to work with iPod docks using unholy homemade adapter originally appeared on Engadget on Thu, 17 Jun 2010 06:33:00 EST. Protect your iDevice from theft. Sorta
Posted on June 12, 2010 | No Comments
So you're at the coffee shop, and you've walked over to the counter to order another half-frap-double shot raspberry no fat mocha, and left your iPad (or iPod) plugged into your laptop. Suddenly, that skeevy looking fellow who was sitting two tables away makes a grab for your iPad, and runs for the door! You don't see him because you were looking away, but you still know your kit has been boosted! How do you know? Well, you had the PadLock installed.

iAngle holds your earbuds and your iPhone… at an angle
Posted on May 19, 2010 | No CommentsThat picture above is about all you need to know, because if you go to this product's website there's virtually no text -- just that self-explanatory image showing the thing and what it does. The thing is the iAngle and what it does is double as an earbud case and a mini stand, perfect for your coach class commutes. Massive advancement in the world of gadgets? Hardly, but it's a neat little deal, and at $10 it won't break the bank either. We're thinking it might work with other gadgets too, at least those of roughly the iPhone's thickness, but you're on your own for verifying that hypothesis.iAngle holds your earbuds and your iPhone... at an angle originally appeared on Engadget on Wed, 19 May 2010 10:08:00 EST.
