    Don't look now, but a UK retailer has the the brand-spanking-new Sony NEX-5 cameras in stock. We can't say that about a single US-based seller right now so this seems like the best bet if you must be the first kid on the block with Sony's latest camera. Of course this previledge comes at a premium as the camera is selling for £589 ($867), which is a tad more than the US's MSRP of $650. Worth it? Hells yeah it is!     You might want to hold off buying a Sony NEX-3 or NEX-5 camera for a bit. They might be the hotness right now, but it seems their big brother is right around the corner. The NEX-7 sounds awful nice.

    There's no doubt that the Sony NEX-5 and NEX-3 are hot cameras. They mate interchangeable lens with a very slim body that houses a low-noise 14.2MP sensor. But apparently the user interface has been reworked to be a lot more user friendly. We first got wind of this yesterday when the NEX-3 leaked, but now the official commercial gives us a quick taste of the interface. (0:15 mark) We definitely like what we're seeing. This camera is bound to be the coolest kid in school.

    Sony NEX-5 and NEX-3 hands-on reports hit the web

    The Sony NEX-3 and NEX-5 leaked-out late last night and surprised the Internet with their down-right sweet styling. Well, Sony has gone and made the pair official, announcing the NEX-5 will retail for $650 with the NEX-3 fetching $550. The cameras have been in the works for some time and just as the press release was crossing the wires, the big camera sites published their hands-on reports. These aren't full reviews, but they definitely have some insight that cannot be gathered from a press release.
