Best Buy offering DROID pre-orders as of today, automates the mail-in rebate
Posted on October 29, 2009 | No CommentsFiled under: Handsets, Motorola, Verizon Wireless, Android
In the best sort of tradition, Best Buy Mobile has gone for a repeat of its Palm Pre offering and is offering a $299 phone, the Motorola DROID, in this case, at $199 thanks to the automation of a mail-in rebate you'd have to actually "mail in" if you were to purchase the handset straight from the carrier. Best Buy also seems to be the first place to offer pre-orders of the phone, so if you're worried about a sell out or just generally averse to affixing stamps to things, Best Buy appears to have you covered.Best Buy offering DROID pre-orders as of today, automates the mail-in rebate originally appeared on Engadget Mobile on Thu, 29 Oct 2009 10:03:00 EST. Yep, Marantz, makers of high end A/V equipment have a deal where if you buy one of their high performance Blu-ray players, they'll give a free Roku Play via mail-in-rebate. If you want to take advantage of this, you have until March 31st. Details (and press release) after the jump.
Get that wallet ready, Nikon's annual instant rebate program is starting on the 28th. Pretty much always a good deal, Nikon loves to tempt the weak with their instant rebate offers on lenses and gear that they roll out on a yearly basis. Case in point - I bought my D300 back in 2008 (with the oh so popular 18-200 VR) and justified it to my wife as a "really great deal" because of the rebate. Luckily she's a patient woman, and we're still married.
TomTom wants you to buy a new PND (personal navigation device) this holiday season. So much so, that they will buy your old device from you via a mail in rebate.
