Video: Hands-on with the Sony Bloggie video camera
Posted on May 6, 2010 | No CommentsAs stated in the video, please accept this hands-on of the Sony Bloggie video camera in lieu of footage of teeny-boppers, um, bopping around. I don’t need that headache, that’s for sure. The video, which is much shorter than my 15-minute epic from the other day, pretty much goes over all the main ideas of the [...] -

Video: The many multi-player modes of Red Dead Redemption
Posted on April 23, 2010 | No CommentsWe’re only a month out from the release of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption, and if there’s anything we’ve learned in our illustrious history is that if it’s Friday, it’s video day here. There’s no writing required and no reading required—everyone wins! Anyhow, today’s Red Dead Redemption video highlights the game’s many multi-player modes. Pretty sure [...] -
Video: BioWare explains why The Old Republic combat will be super-duper
Posted on April 23, 2010 | No CommentsIt'd take a cataclysmic explosion at Yellowstone to knock World of Warcraft off its perch atop MMO Mountain, but if there's one game that will give it a run for its money it's BioWare's The Old Republic. Two reasons for that: one, it's BioWare, and two, it's Star Wars. Star Wars in the capable hands of BioWare = goodness. And I write that knowing absolutely nothing about Star Wars—I only saw Episode I and Episode III! Anyhow, a video!

Video: Sonic 4 footage has a mine cart (a mine cart!)
Posted on April 5, 2010 | No CommentsThere’s not too much going on out there that doesn’t begin with “i” and end with “will it save the media“, so here’s some Sonic 4 footage. Very reminiscent of a Donkey Kong Country level… -
Video: More Red Dead Redemption gameplay for y’all
Posted on April 2, 2010 | No CommentsPresenting, more Red Dead Redemption gameplay footage~! You’ll recall that the game had a very long line last week at PAX East. It’s not exactly GTA in the Wild West, but that’s a fairly accurate, incredibly generalized two-second description. The question on everyone’s mind: Did they have iPads back then? -

Video: WP7S (maybe) running on an HTC Touch Diamond
Posted on March 29, 2010 | No CommentsReal or fake? It’s a question often asked in the San Fernando Valley, and it’s been thrown around quite a bit lately with respect to videos purporting to show off the WP7S interface. Here is yet another such video, showing the interface on an HTC Touch Diamond. If, indeed, this is fake, may I ask [...] -

PAX East 2010: In which we talk to a dude wearing a WWE belt for some reason
Posted on March 26, 2010 | No CommentsOK, so PAX may be crawling with people dressed as Chris Redfield and, um, Generic Skimpy Outfit Female, but it takes a certain kind of geek to walk around with a WWE championship belt. I use the word “geek” with all due respect, of course: we're all geeks here at PAX.

Video: Soldier v. gamer in Modern Warfare 2 showdown
Posted on March 24, 2010 | No CommentsThere’s no doubting it anymore: British TV is miles ahead of American TV. A show over there called, quite descriptively, “The Gadget Show,” pit a proper solider against the Xbox 360 controller-wielding host in a little Modern Warfare 2 showdown. I insist that you watch it.
We've covered quite a few
