If you don’t mind jumping through some hoops (two, to be exact) then you, my friend, are in luck. PC Connection has a 22-inch monitor for $179.95 that’s eligible for a $30 mail in rebate and a $30 Visa card. Same diff, eh? Money in, money out.
The monitor is a Soyo with the following specs:
- 21.6-inch display with a 1680 x 1050 resolution
- 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness
- DVI/VGA connectors
- Built-in speakers
The rebate and Visa card are two separate mailings that each need to be postmarked within 30 days of your purchase. So for me, the monitor would basically cost $180. If you’re organized and diligent, though, you could get a pretty sweet deal.
