Sprint and Sierra Wireless announced their latest mobile broadband modem, the 3G/4G dongle that supports CDMA Dual-band 800/1900Mhz, GPS 1.5 Ghz L-Band as well as WiMAX2.5Ghz. The new adapter is currently only available for business customers, but should be available to all users by mid-July. Of course, it’s free after a mail in rebate (yay) with a 2 year contract. There is currently only one data plan available, $60 a month unlimited (on the 4G) and 5GB of data on Sprint’s 3G. Sprint claims that the 4G connection (when you can find one) gives up download speeds of up to 10mbps, and uploads of 3-6mbps. Of course, these could be market speak, but only time will tell.
