Sony just finished its big press conference at GamesCom, a sort of European E3. The big news: yes, the PS3 Slim is real, and it’s coming next month for $299.
The PS3 Slim, which looks just like those leaked factory photos, will ship with a 120GB hard drive. It’s around one-third smaller than the current PS3. It’ll be available in the first week of September.
Presumably Sony will be sending out shiny photos of the device lickety split.
