Not content to watch 5,768 other companies compete for the netbook crown, it appears as though Archos is ready to throw down. Leaked photos of the "Archos 10" as it’ll be called have appeared online, and if you think the name sounds a bit boring, wait until you see the machine itself. It looks like every other netbook except it has an Archos logo.
Archos has some media tricks up its sleeve, though, and might be able to grab some attention by folding in some of its portable media player expertise. After all, this netbook could be looked at simply as a larger PMP so maybe we’ll see some Archos software under the hood.
Specs: 10.2-inch screen at 1024×600, 1.6GHz Atom CPU, 1GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, and Windows XP. Looks like it’ll be available in black or white colors. No word on price or availability but you can probably expect it to fall in line with the other netbooks from a pricing standpoint.
