HP’s Mini 110 is now available in “Pink Chic” and “White Swirl” along with the original “Black Swirl” color. Also of note: HP is offering a $30 Broadcom video accelerator upgrade.
Formally called the “Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video accelerator with ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre,” the add-on chip provides “smooth high-definition video and audio playback.” Funny that in 2009 we need a $30 chip to do that. You’ll want to add the $30 screen upgrade, too, which bumps the resolution up to 1366×768.
So HD on a netbook? Looks like that’ll cost you $60 extra. Might be worth it for movie buffs.
