If England wins the World Cup you could win a Toshiba TV or laptop

The hope of a nation. Well, aside from Rooney.

Toshiba will give away a free laptop or TV to one lucky winner if England win the World Cup this year. I guess Toshiba won’t be giving away any TVs or laptops anytime soon!

It’s a fun little contest, and one that’s presumably only open to UK residents. It’s really not too hard, either: you buy a Toshiba laptop or TV, register the product, then wait till Rooney fires home the tournament-winning goal. Then Toshiba picks a name out of a hat of the people who registered their TV or laptop, then refunds their purchase price.

England are third favorites to win the World Cup, according to bwin and Paddy Power. (Spain is favorite followed by Brazil.)

And if Team USA wins the World Cup, I’ll eat my hat. Well, I’d have to buy a hat first, hopefully a delicious hat, then I’ll eat it.
