Major Nelson: Microsoft already working on new Xbox 360 dashboard

Major Nelson, whose military credentials I suspect, said on his thrilling podcast at the weekend the Microsoft is already hard at work creating the next version of the Xbox 360 dashboard. Don’t expect a silly name, like NXE, this time around, though.

What can you expect? Well, nothing has been made official just yet, but you can safely assume there will be Zune HD streaming, an on-demand downloadable game store that includes 360 games, and an Avatar Marketplace.

The day I spend money kitting out my Avatar is the day I buy a yacht, tie myself to the floor, then scuttle it in the middle of the Southern Ocean.
