This is Samsung’s latest 5.1 home theater in a box, the HT-BD3252. It comes out next month for a cool $799.
So what does $799 get you? A Blu-ray player, for one, and a 5.1-channel sound system (including wireless rear speakers—very helpful if you’re not interested in hiring an MIT engineer to snake speaker wire around your living room). The system works with those fancy lossless codes, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, so you, too, can enjoy the sounds of Kate Winslet screaming at the top of her lungs in Revolutionary Road. You’ll truly want all 1,000 watts for that scene.
Yeah, that’s it. It’s a HTIAB, not much else to say, especially not having heard it. Look for it in August, if you want.
