Casio shows off the Green Slim Projectors, for gamers
Posted on June 15, 2010 | No Comments
Gamers listen up. You know that 40-inch LCD you’re proud to show your friends when playing FIFA 11, the one that cost $1100. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a much bigger screen for that same price? Have you forgotten about projectors?

HTC EVO 4G will have a HDMI dock, sold through Best Buy
Posted on May 26, 2010 | No CommentsOne of the things we bemoaned in our EVO 4G review was the lack of an included Micro HDMI cable in the box, mostly because they're still somewhat hard to find, but that worry can now be allayed thanks to this newly uncovered HDMI dock from HTC. It will work with the Micro-USB port at the bottom of your EVO for data and power transfers, but the main attraction will obviously be its compatibility with the phone's Type D connector and HDMI 1.4 connectivity. Before you rush to your nearest Best Buy to get one, though, there are a couple of caveats. PC Mag's testing of the HDMI output found some TVs only recognized a 480p signal when the EVO was sending out 1080p, and a number of apps, including Sprint TV, refused to send their goods out over the High-Definition Multimedia Interface at all. Might be worth trying before buying in this case, as in most others.HTC EVO 4G will have a HDMI dock, sold through Best Buy originally appeared on Engadget on Wed, 26 May 2010 03:58:00 EST. Posted on May 17, 2010 | No Comments
We're big Viliv fans here and are glad to see the companies first PMP hit the market. They are one of the few companies that out nearly identical products in the states as Korea. The don't dumb-down its products for the American consumer. Nope, we get all the fun stuff, too. Like the HD5 PMP. Now, we just need a valid reason to need a PMP in 2010.

Hands-on with Lenovo’s cavalcade of laptops and PCs
Posted on May 10, 2010 | No CommentsLenovo’s new line-up is heavy on the all-in-ones but has a few surprises up its sleeve. I got a chance to look at most of the new line last week and came away extremely enthused by the twee Q150. From the press release: If your idea of fun is tricking out your living room entertainment center, [...] -
The ExoPC’s release date and GPU, everyone
Posted on May 6, 2010 | No Comments
We've been following the ExoPC's development with a bit of curiosity and excitement. It's one of the only tablets, along with the Notion Ink Adam and WePad, that has a chance to grab a bit of marketshare away from the iPad. The ExoPC just got a bit more interesting, too. Blog Geek just got confirmation that the slate will use the Broadcom BCM70012 or Crystal HD, which should have enough juice to provide silky-smooth 1080p HD video playback. Best of all, though, the tablet is set to come out in within a few months.

This is why early adopting sucks: Avatar doesn’t play on some Samsung BR players
Posted on April 23, 2010 | No CommentsThis is not for you Hey, cutting edgers! How does it feel to be the first kid on your block not to be able to play a brand new movie because of some wonky firmware issue. Maingear updates the eX-L gaming notebook with new Core i5 & i7 CPUs and ATI Radeon HD 5870
Posted on April 20, 2010 | No Comments
Maingear's eX-L has long been a staple in the gaming notebook scene. The latest update should keep it there, too, with DirectX 11 support courtesy of a little GPU called the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870. The new Core i5 and Core i7 CPUs are nice as well. We won't kick them out of bed but it's the 5870 that we would wine and dine and take home to momma.

The WePad gets a price and launch date (update: Now with a demo of the interface!)
Posted on April 12, 2010 | No Comments
The WePad made headlines a few weeks back when the tablet launched out of seemingly nowhere. It's really the anti-iPad with multitasking, Flash, SD card slot, USB, along with the Android Marketplace, but while maintaining Apple's sleek design. But the pricing and availability wasn't mentioned with the hardware specs. The company just went public with those deets' along with announcing Intel and Adobe as official WePad partners.

The Origin EON15 is the ugly ducking of gaming notebooks
Posted on March 24, 2010 | No Comments
The Origin EON15 gaming notebook is a computer after our own hearts. Instead of a crazy and so-called radical computer case that the company no doubt spent too much money developing, the Origin EON15 is packaged in a no-frills casing. This means more power for the money, kids. And we like the cheap power.

Hey, Lenovo monitors, how’s it going? Oh, is that multi-touch I see? Cool, cool.
Posted on March 12, 2010 | No CommentsThere really isn't too much to say about these Lenovo monitors. To be honest, I never even knew Lenovo made monitors till now. Speaking of monitors, I sure would to find one that's not incredibly expensive, has a 1920x1200 resolution, and has a headphone jack. I'm a diva.
