Logitech MK710 Wireless Desktop: Really nice and lasts a long time
Posted on February 10, 2010 | No CommentsI’m a big fan of Logitech. I’ve used the MX mouse for nigh on most of a year and now I’m typing on a DiNovo Edge. That said, I think I’ll just pitch my old input devices and get me one of these. This is a large, full keyboard and mouse set with a mini-LCD [...] -
ASUS and Toshiba winners of reliability survey, don’t ask about HP
Posted on November 17, 2009 | No Comments
SquareTrade, proprietors of extended warranties, just released a 3-year study that sheds some light on the reliability of laptops and netbooks. The main conclusion that 1 in 3 notebooks fail within three year should come as no surprise. After all, they are portable computers that get banged around. It's the nature of the beast. However, the study does reveal some other interesting tid-bits, including a handy graph the shows the malfunction rate of the top nine laptop manufacturers.

Lil Jon gets an iPhone App: On par with Snoop Dogg’s, shadowed by T-Pain’s
Posted on October 13, 2009 | No Comments
You know that guy who's still running around shouting "YEAAAAAAAH" and "OOOOOKAY" 3 years after that Dave Chappelle bit stopped being funny? No longer will he have to rely on his not-quite-accurate impression - as long as he's got an iPhone. Earlier this morning, the Official Lil Jon Soundboard found its way to the iPhone.
All of the classics are here, like "Yeah!" and "Okay!", plus a bunch of new family favorites, such as "Bend over!" and "Lets do it!". Imagine how much better every conversation will be now that you've got Lil Jon in your pocket!

Do you hate the iPhone? Probably not as much as this guy.
Posted on August 13, 2009 | No Comments
Lets say you hate the iPhone. Maybe its because the plans are too damned expensive. Maybe it's because it's because Apple's app approval process is twelve kinds of terrible. Maybe it's because it's taken over all of your favorite gadget blogs for the past 3 years.
Whatever reason you have for disliking Cupertino's little flamewar generator, you don't hate it as much as this guy.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt Resigns From Apple Board. Surprised?
Posted on August 3, 2009 | No Comments
Lots of people will be arguing today that this was inevitable, but the news comes faster than expected. Google CEO Eric Schmidt is no longer going to sit on Apple's Board of Directors, nearly 3 years after accepting a seat.
The resignation comes a few days after the FCC sent letters to Google, Apple and AT&T inquiring why Apple denied the Google Voice application from its iPhone App Store.

Chinese iPhone to sell 1 million units first year
Posted on July 28, 2009 | No Comments
iPhonAsia has some information on China's exciting WiFi-crippled iPhone. The device will cost less than the smuggled, grey-market iPhones currently available in China and will include special apps for the Chinese consumer.
Considering Apple and China's track record these last few weeks I wonder how much good will Apple last left in the land of the violent Foxconn security team.
Wowza. Consider me impressed. It took Microsoft 3 years to develop Windows Phone 7 Series -- but its only taken 2 weeks for some far-too-talented dabbler to recreate the look and feel of the new OS as a skin for older Windows Mobile handsets, relying on nothing but screenshots and demo videos.
Get ready for tons of fake Windows Phone 7 videos and people saying "No! Seriously! I swear my buddy has Windows Phone 7 on his 3 year old WinMo handset!".
