    I just came back from this year's Tokyo Game Show and must say I am pretty disappointed with the show this year. There were hardly any highlights, Sony didn't show their motion controller anywhere after the announcement during their keynote (picture of the device below/more info later) and staff members often didn't let me shoot any pictures or videos (which I did anyway if there was the chance). Here are some pictures from two booths of the show. The picture on the left shows the final event of the first day (Sunday is the final day).     Well look at that: not only is the PS3 Slim a big success over in Japan but it's also doing pretty damn well here in the U.S. Sales were up some 300 percent in at Sony's “top retailers,” comparing the the week it launched to the previous week.

    All of this drops on August 11. Games On Demand titles confirmed for 8/11 are as follows: Assassin’s Creed, BioShock, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Mass Effect and Sonic the Hedgehog.     E3 2009 coverage starts tomorrow

    Time sure does fly. It’s been a whole year since Devin and I popped our E3 cherries and we find ourselves back in LA for what is expected to be a return to glory for the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Not much going on today except for a few parties, but I did pass the convention center on my way to the hotel and noticed that Ubisoft and Sony dropped crazy money on signage.
