    Sanyo added a few new products to its successful eneloop brand of "green" electronics today [JP], i.e. a hand warmer, a battery-powered and extra-warm blanket and a neck warmer. The coolest new product is the eneloop portable solar, a portable solar panel that's sized at 174(W)×204(H)×26(D)mm.

    A lot of us geeks have one problem: Playing video games, programming or surfing the web usually means staring at computer screens or TVs over a long period of time. And some of us eventually pay a price in the form of dry eyes, which can be very annoying. But now Japan based Masunaga Optical Manufacturing comes to the rescue. The company that enjoyed some international attention for designing former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin's glasses, has developed the so-called Wink Glasses [JP]. The glasses feature a built-in sensor, which analyzes the user's eyelid movements.

    I'm guessing most of us have experienced the sensation of our eyes glossing over and and losing the ability to focus on the computer screen. It feels like your looking at Magic Eye art, almost like you're looking through the screen. It usually happens after staring at the computer screen for endless hours during an all-nighter LAN party or while sitting in a cubical, mindlessly calling people to refi their mortgage with you.
