Review: Nikon D300s DSLR
Posted on October 8, 2009 | No CommentsShort version: If you are familiar with the Nikon D300, then you can just expect more of the same. The D300s doesn’t do anything ground breaking, but what it does is add some nice features to an already excellent DSLR — most importantly, HD video and SD card support. The D300s is the latest version of [...] -
Rumor: BlackBerry Onyx to be announced October 21?
Posted on October 8, 2009 | No CommentsWell, well. What do we have here? Apparently, Engadget has it on “good authority” that the BlackBerry Bold successor, aka Bold 2 / Onyx (it’s not clear which name will hit the streets, but either way it’s the 9700), will be announced on October 21…for AT&T and T-Mobile. We were already pretty sure that the Onyx [...] -
Don’t show your parents: HTC Tattoo spotted on video
Posted on September 25, 2009 | No CommentsHTC’s first foray into a cheap budget-friendly Android smartphone comes in the form of the previously revealed Tattoo (what are you trying to say, HTC, all us poor folks have tattoos?). And just like a real tattoo, HTC wants your Tat to be personal and unique, so the phone comes with removable/swappable front and back [...] -

Posted on September 24, 2009 | No CommentsWe just got our Nikon D300s, and it's looking good. I've taken a few beauty shots for you, and shot some video with the camera as well. First impressions are good, but that's to be expected as it's based on the the excellent D300 body. We'll be comparing the D300s to a D300 in our full review to help you decide if you want to upgrade or not. Sample video and pictures inside.

WinMo 6.5 powered HTC Imagio coming to Verizon Oct. 6?
Posted on September 18, 2009 | No CommentsNothing like a hot rumor to get your Friday going. Word on the street is that a new WinMo 6.5 packin’, HTC smartie named Imagio is coming to Verizon on October 6. As this is the very same day WinMo 6.5 is officially hitting the mobilesphere, the speculation seems all that much more legitimate. According to [...] -
RIP: Nikon D300 officially discontinued
Posted on September 10, 2009 | No Comments
Nikon announced today that they are officially discontinuing the D300 DSLR. That should really not be a surprise as the D300s has been announced, effectively replacing a camera that came out in August of 2007 (that's the equivalent of 25 years in digital photography time).

New micro four-thirds Panasonic causes drool, consternation
Posted on September 2, 2009 | No Comments
We saw this thing a little while ago and now it is real. The Panasonic DMC-GF1 is a micro four-thirds camera with 12-megapixel sensor, 1080p video recording, and nice image quality.
After seeing the lackluster EP1 I am worried the M4/3 world might be too hard to handle, even for DSLR lovers. However, I'm willing to give this old girl a try.

Rumor: Dell’s smartphone gets rendered, specs revealed?
Posted on August 13, 2009 | No CommentsWe probably won’t be seeing Dell’s smartphone hit our shores anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t piqued our interest. I mean, come on: It’s Dell, who brings a fresh face to this whole crazy (and stagnating) world of cell phones, and it’s Android. Along with the absurdly blurry render you see up above, [...]
