Shock study: Wii Fit alone won’t get you into shape (nor is it supposed to, by the way)
Posted on December 17, 2009 | No CommentsShocking study coming out of the University of Minnesota that says Wii Fit won't get you into shape, despite what you may think. Well, to be specific, the study says the game won't produce “significant changes in daily physical activity, muscular fitness, flexibility, balance or body composition.”

Motorola Milestone’s ad campaign less likely to leave you in a bloody heap than Droid’s
Posted on December 10, 2009 | No CommentsMotorola's European version of the Droid -- the Milestone -- is on the verge of release in the UK, so it's not surprising to see ads starting to pop up. This is the first we've seen, and we'll say that the approach is... interesting. In contrast to the over the top, explosive (literally -- did you see that banana?!) Verizon Droid ads, the Milestone ad is all about information, delivered in a soothing, sophisticated tone. "Intelligence and versatility converge" here, and we have to say we much prefer this approach over the it's a "frickin' robot" one taken by Verizon. Decide for yourself -- the video is after the break.

It’s a list of fake things that look like real things

It's not just the typical, Chinese iPhone wannabe, either. Like, nalencia oranges? Never heard of those. Dolce & Banana? I might be able to afford that. And, hmm, that looks an awful like the Amazon Kindle, but it's not quite it, now is it?

‘Unique’ Bluetooth banana has truly limited applications

Some products require no explanation. Take this "Unique Banana Shaped Bluetooth Handset," for example -- either you get it or you don't, but no amount of marketing, advertising, or sweet-talking is going to get a skeptic to appreciate its brilliance. If you're still reading this, maybe -- just maybe -- you fall into the "I need this, particularly at just $17.70" camp, and for you, take heart in the knowledge that you can be just 2 to 5 business days away from talking on a simulated piece of fruit that's connected to your phone via Class 2 Bluetooth 2.0. When's the last time you heard "standby time" quoted for a banana, anyway?
