Samsung Galaxy S gets torn down, looks equally beautiful on the inside (video)
Posted on June 14, 2010 | No CommentsYou'll be hard pressed to find a sane individual who'd argue that Samsung's Galaxy S isn't a lust-worthy piece of kit on the outside, and after watching the video past the break, we doubt you'll get too many takers on proving things unsightly within. Equipped with a Super AMOLED display and a bit of that Hummingbird goodness within, there weren't too many bits and pieces to tear apart. What was found, however, leaves a new appreciation for steady hands. Go on, give it a look-see -- the real deal will be out and about before you know it.Continue reading Samsung Galaxy S gets torn down, looks equally beautiful on the inside (video)

Don’t let taste stand in the way of buying a crystal iPhone stand
Posted on May 17, 2010 | No Comments
Are you the kind of person who has to have the best of everything? Two-ply toilet paper? Nice plastic plates? The best mixture of Alpo and brown gravy spread liberally onto your chest as a libido suppressant? Then you're going to need the Calypso Crystal iPhone stands.
These stands, which range from $199 to $349 for the Aurora model, are made of leaded crystal and take "15 days to make" in Central Europe. The sad thing is that these are actually probably made in Poland where leaded crystal is actually quite popular (my mom collects it, incidentally, but I doubt she wants these.)

iCitizen Symposium 2010: The Real-Time Web
Posted on May 5, 2010 | No CommentsI’ve been at the iCitizen Symposium 2010, here in beautiful Columbus OH, since bright and early this morning. I have been talking to people and scanning QR codes (I’ll come back to that). The main theme of this event surrounds the “real-time web” and the speed with which its underbelly is changing the way people [...] -

How to make a busted iPhone beautiful
Posted on March 4, 2010 | No Comments
There’s an excellent how-to over in the MacRumors forums that details how an enterprising individual purchased a scratched up iPhone with a broken screen off of eBay and restored it to its former glory without sinking too much money into the project.

Japan gets a cool pilot’s G-Shock watch while we get a green one
Posted on February 4, 2010 | No Comments
We never get the good stuff! Casio in Japan just released this beautiful GW-3000 pilot in orange, blue, and white (I totally love that blue. It's my favorite lume/color combo). It is waterproof and runs sets itself via radio. It is also a Tough Solar model and can survive masssive impacts.
It can display 29 world time cities and you can swap the home city with an away city. It also has a stopwatch and a calendar as well as a "Furuotokarenda" which is something Google seems to have translated wrong.

Posted on January 6, 2010 | No CommentsAll the signs were already indicating that T-Mobile was planning on launching the gloriously beautiful HTC HD2, but good ol’ Stevie Ballmer just confirmed it during his CES 2010 keynote. Dates? Nope. Pricing? Nope. The best we’ve got is still HTC head honcho Peter Chou’s confirmation that it’d be launching in the US in “Early [...] -
Samsung Bada UI unveiled in beautiful stills, reason for existing still blurry
Posted on December 17, 2009 | No CommentsWe hate to harsh on a new phone platform -- what could be more exciting, after all, than a whole new take on handset software? -- but we're pretty confused by Samsung's Bada. Still, these leaked screenshots fill us with some hope: it looks fairly pretty, and quite a bit more intuitive than the standard Samsung UI. It also seems to be an odd visual mashup of Android and Symbian, but in a good sort of way, and we look forward to the sort of democratization of touchphones it seems to represent. There, that wasn't very harsh-ey at all! Now check out the developer-oriented video after the break to let a new wave of confusion wash over you.Continue reading Samsung Bada UI unveiled in beautiful stills, reason for existing still blurry

ZOMG The Google Phone Is “Like An iPhone On Beautifying Steroids”
Posted on December 12, 2009 | No CommentsWe told you the Google phone was confirmed. And now some Googler's seem to be confirming it, too. There is a lot of chatter on Twitter about Google employees with HTC-built unlocked Google Phones running Android 2.1. And the devices look to be coming out in January. We noticed a Twitter message from Google Program Manager Leslie Hawthorn, who writes "Stuck in mass of traffic leaving work post last all hands of 2009. ZOMG we had fireworks and we all got the new Google phone. It's beautiful." Another guy, Jason Howell, says he had his hands on the device, which he says is made by HTC and is running Android 2.1: "The new Google Phone runs on HTC hardware. I saw it w/ Android 2.1. Homescreen has new visual enhancements like animated desktop wallpaper." "Supposedly, Google employees were given tons of these phones today. unlocked," he adds.

Come to beautiful Lancashire, England, where the future a boot stamping on a human face - forever! There you can be arrested on specious grounds for taking pictures of Santas a Christmas Parade!
