Jabra Stone goes exclusive in white for AT&T
Posted on June 9, 2010 | No CommentsJabra's Stone is still one of the more stylish Bluetooth headsets ever to take on the market, but you know what makes anything more stylish? Painting it white. Sure enough, the white Stone looks pretty sweet in pictures, and it's an AT&T exclusive starting today for $129 in stores. That's a little steep for a headset, sure, but one small bonus is that buyers who complete a survey after picking it up will receive a $30 card good toward other products in the AT&T store -- so that takes the edge off the pocketbook sting, we suppose.Jabra Stone goes exclusive in white for AT&T originally appeared on Engadget Mobile on Wed, 09 Jun 2010 19:39:00 EST. Sony Ericsson spends some marketing bucks, christens its accessories ‘Extras’
Posted on June 4, 2010 | No Comments
Long gone are the simple times when accessories were just accessories, apparently, because Sony Ericsson is making a pretty big deal that they all fall under the umbrella of an actual brand now: "Extras." Yes, "Extras" with a capital "E," as opposed to saying "hey, I'm going to buy some extras with my phone." Totally different animal here, you see. To commemorate the occasion, Sony Ericsson is kicking off the Extras brand on the right foot with the VH110 and VH410 Bluetooth headsets (pictured left and right, respectively), both of which will be available in August; both fall into the "Talk" subcategory. Oh, we forgot to mention those? Yes, Extras will be divided into four buckets depending on the accessory type: Talk, Play, Listen, and Go. We imagine we can expect announcements to fill up those other categories shortly. Follow the break for Sony Ericsson's release.Continue reading Sony Ericsson spends some marketing bucks, christens its accessories 'Extras'

Sound ID 510 Bluetooth headset coming to AT&T in June
Posted on May 24, 2010 | No Comments
I've used a number of Bluetooth headsets, and I really tried to make myself comfortable while wearing them. None of them have been quite comfortable enough for me, and I feel like I'm missing out on sounds around me when the piece is sitting dormant in my ear. Perhaps the new Sound ID 510 headset, coupled with the EarPrint App, will solve my concerns.

Review: Plantronics Voyager PRO UC Bluetooth headset
Posted on April 27, 2010 | No CommentsThere’s a small market for Bluetooth headsets that come with auto-pairing dongles. Some peeps need a quick and reliable way to use software like Microsoft Office Communicator and Skype and so I tested out the Jabra GO 6430 a few weeks back. While I found the audio superb, it didn’t fit right in my ear. Plantronics [...] -

BlueAnt outs the rugged T1 Bluetooth headset
Posted on March 22, 2010 | No Comments
Bluetooth headsets generally take a good amount of abuse. They are after all thrown in pockets with keys, tossed in bags , thrown on desks, and suffer countless other forms of stress over their lifetime. Thankfully most are priced as throwaway items. However, the just-announced BlueAnt T1 isn't a normal headset. This little guy seems like one tough bastard.

The HD JVC Everio GZ-HM550 lets smartphones control functions via Bluetooth
Posted on March 19, 2010 | No Comments
The JVC GZ-HM550 brings a new set of standards to the table. It isn't the 1920 x 1080 recording or 9 MP stills. Nor is it the 32GB internal flash memory with an SD/SDHC card slot playing backup or even the Konica Minolta HD lens. Nope, it's the novel Bluetooth function that might make a full size camcorder relevant again in a smartphone world.

BlueAnt releases a Bluetooth headset for motorcycle riders
Posted on December 8, 2009 | No Comments
Bluetooth headsets are great in a car but even more awesome on a motorcycle. It's not like you can use your phone while cruising down the road on a bike. You might drop the phone and no one wants that. BlueAnt is the latest company to release a system that fully utilizes all the capabilities of Bluetooth for motorcycle riders.

Double Review: SolarVoice 908 and SolarCharger 906
Posted on November 30, 2009 | No Comments
My first experience with solar energy was in Cub Scouts, when we made a solar-powered hot dog cooker. Unfortunately, solar technology hasn't advanced terribly much in the intervening decades. At the consumer level, solar power still isn't particularly useful for very much outside of a few niche markets. i.Tech has a couple of products that make a real effort to bring usefulness to solar power for the average user: the SolarVoice 908 Bluetooth headset and the SolarCharger 906 multi-device charger.

Tiny wireless headsets getting new features, for free, by way of a software update? We're living in the future, you know.
