WinPho 7 screenshots – almost final?
Posted on May 11, 2010 | No CommentsMicrosoft has been throwing their latest builds into the Windows Phone developer tools, so they haven’t exactly been secretive about exactly what WinPho is going to look like. Luckily, there’s a developer who’s shared the latest shots with us, from what looks to be close to the final ROM. Not everything worked, of course, but [...] -
Is this your new iWatch?
Posted on May 11, 2010 | No CommentsWouldn’t it be great if this thing were real? You could do all kinds of great stuff on your iWatch like slide to unlock and tell the time. Presumably apps would be a pretty limited – 2 inches by 1 inch won’t be a good battleground for Plants vs. Zombies – but a girl can [...] -

Bumblebee is getting new digs for Transformers 3
Posted on May 7, 2010 | No Comments
I honestly didn't know there was even going to be a third Transformers movie until a few minutes ago, but I guess it was to be expected. Anyway, Bumblebee himself has been spotted and is wearing a bunch of new OEM-looking mods. There's a new front fascia, grill, ground effects, hood, rims, and an actually good-looking rear spoiler. But the design is so pedestrian (what's with the antenna?) that the next Transformers Camero might share many of the same features. Click through for a bunch of pics including a couple with Megan Fox.

Hands-on with the new Leica line: Sexytime
Posted on May 6, 2010 | No CommentsSay what you want about Leica but they make some beautiful glass and some great cameras. Today I saw the 18-megapixel M9 (New Yorkers take note: Leica will have loaner units at the New York Photo Festival), the 12-megapixel X1, and the brand new V-LUX 20. I didn’t get a chance to shoot much but [...] -

The iPad 3G has arrived
Posted on April 30, 2010 | No CommentsMy friendly neighborhood iPad 3G man just dropped off my 32GB model fresh from the factory. It still has that new Apple smell? Initial assments finds that the iPad 3G is just like the iPad with a plastic top for improved wireless connectivity. I’ll fire the old girl up and put her through her paces. Expect [...] -
You can now play Swords with your Wii (thankyouvermuch)
Posted on April 29, 2010 | No CommentsMoving on, Majesco Entertainment just announced a sword fighting game cleverly named Swords. It uses Wii MotionPlus for 1-to-1 accuracy as you fight your way through “eight skilled adversaries” with a sword Wii Remote add-on. Expect the game this September. To be honest, I couldn’t care less about the game or the sword Wii Remote [...] -

Posted on April 27, 2010 | No Comments
The FedEx man just dropped off the new Lexar 16GB Echo ZE Backup Drive. This thing is tiny. Like I knew it was small judging by the press photos when it was announced back at CES, but I had no idea it was this small. You need to see this thing to scale to really appreciate it and so I snapped a few pictures with random items around my desk. Click through for the photo gallery. You have to see this thing. Full review coming soon.

Posted on April 26, 2010 | No CommentsOh well. Even though The Street announced RIM’s two upcoming phones a bit early this morning, it still doesn’t take away from their appeal. Suits, corporate types and anyone that takes mobile email seriously should take notice. These two are nice. The Bold 9650 seems to be a trackpad-equipped Tour loaded with 802.11b/g, GPS, a 3.2 [...] -
Skyfire For Android Beta Leaked! Have some screenshots.
Posted on April 21, 2010 | No Comments
By the time I got wind that Skyfire was looking for Alpha testers, the sign-up sheet had already been filled to the brim. Bummer, right?
Fear not! As luck may have (the "luck" here being for early adopters, if not necessarily Skyfire), a Beta copy just leaked out for all to enjoy.
