Christian Audigier’s reign of terror extends to USB drives
Posted on August 26, 2009 | No Comments
Let’s clear the air real quick. Ed Hardy is one of the godfathers of modern tattooing and he learned from the best, Sailor Jerry. Christian Audigier, on the other hand, is a big douche. He whored out Kenny Howard aka Von Dutch (even though the guy was a drunk and racist) and now he’s done the same with Ed Hardy over the last few years.

The big Xbox 360 Dashboard update is waiting for you
Posted on August 11, 2009 | No CommentsWhen you get home from work today, or get out of bed, the Xbox 360 Dashboard update will be ready to go. (I'm holding out on updating for a few days; I'm no man's guinea pig!) It's pretty exciting.

iPhone users: This virtual girlfriend will never leave you (video)
Posted on August 4, 2009 | No CommentsThere are a number of Tamagotchi-style apps for the iPhone out there, but now Tokyo-based Xtone gives us Amamiya Momo, a virtual catgirl girlfriend that lives in your iPhone, speaks to you and expresses emotions (there are English subs for when she speaks Japanese). You can use the GPS function in your iPhone to let Momo know when you're home and when you're out. She will act cuter in the first case and can be quite cold in the latter. Even though Momo doesn't want to be touched, you can pat her head, touch her cheek and even try to look under her skirt.

IPod Nano vs. Washing Machine
Posted on July 7, 2009 | No CommentsThis is not what you want to see when you open up the washing machine. I was expecting to be greeted with a load of clean, sparkling clothes and instead I saw my 2G iPod Nano, drenched but undoubtedly clean after its spin in the washer. Does anyone have experience of this? It’s currently sitting [...] -
USB Necklaces Push Boundaries of Taste
Posted on July 3, 2009 | No CommentsThese USB necklaces are the jewelry equivalent of those awful fiberboard TV cabinets beloved of lottery-winners everywhere. Instead of buying a piece of technology that looks good in the first place, the idea is to take something ugly and pretend it is a more old fashioned, conservatively acceptable object. In the case of the TV, [...] -
Child Porn App Disappears from iTunes App Store
Posted on July 2, 2009 | No CommentsBeautyMeter, the app which managed to sneak “child pornography” onto the iPhone, has been pulled from the iTunes App Store. The application lets users upload pictures of themselves and then other people vote on their face, body and clothes (or lack thereof). The internet was set afire yesterday when it appeared that a 15-year-old girl had [...] -
Pellermodel: Bandai lets you build a 3D figure of yourself
Posted on June 29, 2009 | No Comments
Even though I live in Japan, I admit I don't know anything about Origami and other techniques to build objects out of paper. Today is also the first time I heard of the Pellermodel concept, the art of creating "true 3D paper objects".
Now Bandai is planning to sell "Pellermodel" (brand name) kits, which make it possible for users to build a small, humanoid-like 3D object with one's own face on it (or that of anyone you like). All that users need to do is to upload a face picture, access Bandai's dedicated Pellermodel website [JP], print and attach the picture on the model's head. Your "3D" figure can then be pressed out in seconds.

Alice and Kev, the homeless Sims
Posted on June 17, 2009 | No CommentsIn what may be one of the most heart-breaking Sims-related experiments in a long time, Robin Burkinshaw created two Sims, Kev and his daughter Alice. They live in a house that looks like a park and live on free meals from work and school. They sleep on park benches. Alice is kind-hearted and a little [...]
