There will be a Mass Effect movie. Will Lost’s Matthew Fox play Commander Shepard?
Posted on May 25, 2010 | No CommentsIt's takes a special type of nerd to read a video game's novelization, and I'm none too proud to say that I recently started reading the Mass Effect novel. But there's a certain quiet dignity in reading a novelization that simply isn't present when sitting at the multiplex (or downloading the Blu-ray rip, as it were) watching a movie. Get ready: EA has sold the movie rights to Mass Effect, and it's gone to Legendary Pictures, the same people behind The Dark Knight, Watchmen, and The Hangover. Review: Harman/Kardon HKTS 20BQ 5.1 speaker system
Posted on April 28, 2010 | No Comments
Short version: Harman/Kardon makes great speakers, and this set is no exception. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive home-theater speaker system, you can definitely do much worse then the HKTS 20BQ. This is a complete 5.1 system in a box, and includes everything you need to get your system rocking. The speakers have great response throughout the range, and the 8 inch powered subwoofer will definitely shake things up.

Too bad that the whole movie wasn’t shot on IMAX’s 70mm film. It will get The Dark Knight treatment and some, if not most, of the film will be remastered for the huge format. [...] -
They made a King of Fighters live-action movie and the trailer looks terrible
Posted on November 27, 2009 | No Comments
Since the 1990s, 2D fighting game series King of Fighters has always been the (smaller), and some hardcore gamers say better, counterpart to Streetfighter. Streetfighter saw not one but two live-action movies based on the thin story lines of the games, and now someone in Hollywood decided it's time for a King of Fighters movie. And does it surprise anybody the promo trailer that was just released looks horrendous?

Posted on July 20, 2009 | No CommentsEver taken your car or motorcycle for a spin and pretended that you’re Batman, racing through the dark streets of Gotham to release your anger by beating petty criminals to pulp? Then we may be able to interest you in the Dark Knight Leather Motorcycle Suit, an officially licensed replica of Batman’s S&M getup from [...]
As just discussed in the CrunchGear chatroom, I don't know anything about District 9 because I'm eventually going to see it. All I need to know is that right now the movie is ranked number 26 on
