Hyundai goes nuts with OLED screens
Posted on September 23, 2009 | No Comments
Hyundai? Pretty please bring OLED screens to the automotive world. It doesn't have to be as futuristic as the dashboard in the Blue-Will concept car, but OLEDs are just so nice. Ford is already using LCD screens in its latest hybrids, but why not up the game a bit, and do something radical? Please?

Nokia N900 gets official, hitting Europe in October.
Posted on August 27, 2009 | No CommentsWaaaay back in May, we put up just shy of 750 words jam-packed with details on Nokia’s unannounced N900 Internet Tablet. This morning, Nokia finally pulled back the curtains on the device - and man, we absolutely nailed it. Though we would have expected Nokia to announce this at next week’s Nokia World event, they’ve gone [...] -
iPhone App Review: Navigon Mobile Navigator for iPhone
Posted on August 17, 2009 | No Comments
It is time to ask the age-old question: Are our cellphones ready to replace standalone GPS units. Sure we've all done a little work with cellphone mapping services and we've all mucked about with Google Maps while driving (which is very dangerous). But are cellphones and iPhones in particular ready to knock the old GPS box off of the dashboard?
To paraphrase Molly Bloom in Ulysees, "yes to say yes my mountain flower and first I put my arms around him yes and drew him down to me and I think you can replace your GPS device with an iPhone and software like Navigon's Mobile Navigator for iPhone are making it much simpler yes I will Yes."

Commenter of the Week

Anonymous writes in reaction to the heated debate about an older Laptop Hunter ad featuring Sheila:
Wow, I’ve learned so much from all of this stimulating, relevant debate. Thanks, guys! Just a few of the things I’ve learned from these comments: 1. The only reason to buy a Mac is OSX 2. The only reason to buy a Mac is the build quality 3. OSX sucks compared to Windows 4. Windows sucks compared to Linux 5. Windows sucks compared to OSX 6. Real video editors use Final Cut Pro and AVID… unless they use Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere instead.

Posted on June 24, 2009 | No CommentsWe came away with two things after watching this video spot from Alex Lindsay, MacBreak Weekly regular, Pixel Corps supremo and Star Wars SFX alumni. Major Nelson: Microsoft already working on new Xbox 360 dashboard
Posted on June 23, 2009 | No CommentsMajor Nelson, whose military credentials I suspect, said on his thrilling podcast at the weekend the Microsoft is already hard at work creating the next version of the Xbox 360 dashboard. Don't expect a silly name, like NXE, this time around, though.

Microsoft has just announced that some new features are coming the Xbox 360 at E3. Facebook and Last.fm integration into the Xbox Live dashboard are two of them. The game Metal Gear Solid is another. But the one they seem to be touting the most right now?
