I greeted the new year by saying, sometime well after midnight, “Oh, it's 2010 already.” I was playing the PC version of Call of Duty 4, which is demonstrably better than the Xbox 360 version I played two years ago. But that's not the point of this here post. No, for I have one question to ask of the people who did go outside and celebrate: what were the “Happy 2010!” glasses like?

Posted on December 22, 2009 | No CommentsWhoever says the legal system in this country is broken, well, you're right. Comcast was caught tampering with its customers' packets two years ago. It bitched and moaned like nobody's business, earning itself no friends. The Federal Communications Commission sanctioned the gigantic corporation in what amounted to a slap on the wrist. Big deal. A class action lawsuit was filed, which was just settled for $16 million. Comcast raked in $34.3 billion in revenue in 2008, meaning that this settlement amounts to four hours of revenue. That's right: four hours. Take that, corporate America!

Try wearing a 2010 pair of glasses: where are you going to look through, the 1? This is a serious situation that demands the attention of our best engineers.
