TRON controllers will be available for purchase
Posted on June 22, 2010 | No Comments
Rejoice user! Devin won't be keeling over from auto-eroticasphyxiation after all. The TRON controllers that he saw at E3 and threatened to hold his breath over? Well, they are going to be for sale. To be honest, I haven't considered replacing my stock Xbox 360 controllers until this point, but now I'm afraid I have no choice. -
Penny Arcade totally gets E3

Sony: E-books are here to stay (so get used to it)
Posted on June 2, 2010 | No CommentsSony says there will be more digital book content than physical book content within five years. Or, in English, e-books will overtake "regular" books by 2015. This is terrible news for people like Devin and John, people who appreciate books not merely for the words they contain but for the form they take. It's less of an issue for people like me, people who are, in fact, merely interested in reading the words, whether they're on paper or papyrus or on an e-ink screen.

A concept ambidextrous mouse, for your perusal
Posted on May 24, 2010 | No Comments
Do you like computer mice? Do you like ambidexterity? Do you like looking at renderings of concept products that are not yet real? Today, my friend, is your lucky day. Gaze upon the Nink wireless optical mouse. Imagine the feel of that corrugated shell under either your right or your left palm. Visualize the sensation of using either index finger to tenderly scroll that wheel up and down, up and down. You can almost feel the mild resistance as the Nink lovingly caresses your desk, gliding back and forth at your slightest bidding...

Is Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol the first e-book to outsell its hardcover counterpart?
Posted on September 16, 2009 | No CommentsWhat's the one area of technology that I'm still relatively keen on? That's right: e-books, but that's because I like the idea of having several books on my person at all times in a device that fits inside my trousers. (The latest: The Wages of Destruction by Adam Tooze. Not an e-book, by the way, since I'm not made of money.) Devin, on the other hand, who also reads his share of books, is not as big a fan of the tech. We're like The Odd Couple! Anyway, I bring this up because it looks like Dan Brown's latest novel, The Lost Symbol, is the first book on record that is selling better on the Amazon Kindle than its hardcover counterpart. (Blah, blah, the death of books...)
Apple isn't the only company with tablets. HP and Dell showed off its slate concepts at
Time to sweep up after CES. Devin tells me we have a hands-on with these cameras buried somewhere in our live video feed from the show but we’re unable to find it at the moment, so please allow me to paint a picture for you using good old fashioned words.
