HP stuffs 1 billion colors in the ZR30w 30-inch display

The new HP ZR30w can display all the colors of the rainbow, if the rainbow in question has 1.07 billion colors that is. That's about 64 times more than Apple's more expensive 30-inch Cinema HD Display. That's just a little tid-bit for those that like to keep track of these things.

Toshiba Japan has announced [JP] a total of 15 new LCD REGZA TVs for the Japanese market today (the company is selling REGZAs outside Japan, meaning chances are these new models will be rolled out internationally, too). Vizio has two new LCDs set to hit Best Buy and Walmart shelves just in time for the depressing holiday season. Yippie. These two boys use LED backlighting to light the LCD screens and to be honest, they're not to shabby in the specs department. The 23-inch is a 1080p model with 20,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 300 nits of brightness. The 19-inch however is a 720p model but it too sports the same contrast ratoi and brightness spec.

Samsung debuts the eco-friendly “finger-slim” XL2370 LED HD monitor

Today in Korea, Samsung announced an eco-friendly full HD LED monitor, the XL2370. It’s said to have a “finger-slim” design, but the press release makes no mention of how thick it actually is. But we do know that the XL2370 has a “mega dynamic” contrast ratio of 5M:1, 2ms response time and 1920x1080 resolution. Oh, and it has “Starlight Touch Controls.”

Toshiba is releasing three new lines of LCD TVs. The only one you care about is the SV670 LED line up though. The other two series, XV648 and ZV650, are just your standard top-tier LCDs TVs. But the SV670 might be something special.
