All-weather GPS device handles golf, skiing, running, and more

Sport-specific GPS devices can often cost hundreds of dollars each and if you’re someone who's into all different types of outdoor activities like skiing, golfing, and running, buying separate GPS gizmos can add up quickly. Sure, you could probably use your smartphone to run multiple sports GPS apps but then you've got to deal with sweat, the elements, and… um, cell phone thieves that hang around ski resorts. That's a real thing, right?

MOTOBLUR ported to the G1, unreleased CLIQ looks on in envy

It's unclear exactly how MOTOBLUR software might've leaked into the wild, but it's already been repurposed in the best sort of way into a G1-friendly ROM. Despite its beta status it's looking relatively snappy, but there are still some missing elements like WiFi and Bluetooth. If anything it's a testament to how portable and hackable Android is turning out to be so far, and we look forward to the ongoing improvements to Android by diverse manufacturers being disseminated far and wide -- though if Motorola had its way, it'd probably at least happen after the relevant device has hit the market. Video is after the break.

The i-Toc: A very cool watch

The i-Toc is really what you would call a "mystery watch." It has two overlapping disks that are graduated from light to dark and the point of absolute black - or whatever color you've bought - marks the hour and minutes hand. Pretty sly, right? Designed by CG reader Sean, the i-Toc is a mere $99 and comes in six colors including silver, blue, purple, red, and orange. It has a 41mm case and has a silicone strap with butterfly clasp. Heck, they even have a screen saver so you can add a pink i-Toc to your PC or Mac.

Videos: Probably Fake Apple Tablet In Action. But Awesome.

Simply by Apple's law of averages, the likelihood that the following two videos are real, is very small. If someone was able to sneak out one video of the Apple Tablet in action, it'd be a miracle, but two? Now you're just tempting fate. Still, that isn't stopping Brian Lam of Gizmodo from wondering if there could be something to these (even though his colleague disagrees). And you know what, even if they aren't real, Apple should consider hiring whoever made them, because this seems like the right idea. Sure, certain details are off, like the text alignment on some of the elements as ZDNet points out. But just look at this system in action. It's like having multiple iPhones on the same giant touch screen (and that may actually be exactly what this is).

Child Porn App Disappears from iTunes App Store

BeautyMeter, the app which managed to sneak “child pornography” onto the iPhone, has been pulled from the iTunes App Store. The application lets users upload pictures of themselves and then other people vote on their face, body and clothes (or lack thereof). The internet was set afire yesterday when it appeared that a 15-year-old girl had [...]

Outlet Wall: More Powerful Than You Could Possibly Imagine

Imagine not only being able to plug in your hardware exactly where you like, never having to search for a power socket again. Imagine, further, that it looks like this resplendent Outlet Wall, and that the cables, normally  mere clutter that needs to be hidden, instead become elements of this decorative piece of art. Now, imagine [...]
