Prima strategy guides now on Steam. Yup, Prima still makes strategy guides!
Posted on May 20, 2010 | No CommentsGot an e-mail from the good folks at Steam a few moments ago detailing a new feature y'all might be interested in. I mean, the only thing anyone is going to care about today is Google TV, but I'll do what I can to distract you from that for a moment. The deal is that Prima Guides are now available for use in-game. You know, via that shift+tab overlay thing.

Posted on March 16, 2010 | No CommentsAn outstanding e-mail showed up in my inbox a few moments ago promoting the release of Donkey Kong Country 2: Serious Monkey Business. It's a remix album from OC ReMix, the people who are famous for, you know, remixing video game soundtracks. (I used one of their Street Fighter remixes in a video review about a year ago.) But, yeah, Serious Monkey Business!

Qik For Android Alpha leaks, Immediately Hits The Market
Posted on June 23, 2009 | No Comments
Uh-oh. Looks like the race for live video streaming on Android is on. When we got footage of Kyte running on Android last week after hearing next to nothing on the matter from the competitors, we guessed that it might be the first mobile streaming app to go live on the platform. Turns out, Qik has had something up their sleeve - and it just slipped right out.
We're not quite clear on all of the details yet, but an early Alpha version of Qik's Android application has become available.

Sample shots and video emerge from Pentax’s K-7 DSLR
Posted on May 28, 2009 | No CommentsAs with Panasonic's Lumix DMC-GH1, a few lucky folks who have managed to spend a few moments with Pentax's new 14.6 megapixel K-7 have stopped to host up the results for us to drool over. Early stills are rather impressive, with images being sharp, crisp and generally delightful to stare at. As for video, it's tough to judge the real quality based on a YouTube rendition, but feel free to glean what you can just after the break. So, if you weren't sold already, are you now?
