The Canon 5D mk II 2.0.4 firmware fixes the mess left by 2.0.3

The 5D mk II 2.0.3 firmware was supposed to be the end-all solution for the Canon super camera. But it wasn't. It caused more issues not worth the enhanced movie mode it added. Canon of course of pulled the firmware from its site cause many 5D mk II owners to cry a little. Because, as everyone knows, Canon owners are notoriously emotional unlike the cool and collected Nikon crowd. But chin up 5D mk II owners, the proper firmware is now available.

Bravo to Epic Games for porting Unreal Engine 3 to the iPhone

So now we're relying on CNET to bring us word of Epic Games' efforts to bring the Unreal Engine to the iPhone. You may not have even played Unreal for several years, but plenty of big games are based on the engine. Mass Effect and BioShock are based on versions of the engine, as is EA's upcoming Medal of Honor. Just think: playing Unreal on your iPhone. It's almost... unreal.

You know, like putting the disc in your drive and expecting it to work. It was easier to pirate it than play the copy you bought at the store. Insane, yes. Modern Warfare 2 was the most pirated game of 2009, also known as "this year," primarily because it was backed by a zillion dollar marketing campaign. First reviews of Modern Warfare 2 published: Two perfect scores

But it's happening like whoa. What is based in reality is that the first reviews of the game have started appearing online, and they're all from UK newspapers. A strange place to see the first reviews of what's probably going to end up being the biggest game of the year (with all due respect to Assassin's Creed II).

Hasn’t Infinity Ward earned your trust for Modern Warfare 2?

Everyone knows that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is almost here and just like every other epic game, its launch is covered in a haze of controversy. It seems like every day people find something else to bitch about the upcoming shooter. First, there was the lack of dedicated server support that got PC gamers riled up. Then a clip surfaced showing that *gasp* you might kill civilians. (GTA, anyone?) But it goes on: price gouging, multiplayer limited at 9v9, and online retailers boycotting because of Valve's Steam or something like that.
But am I the only one that have dismissed all these complaints because of Infinity Ward's track record? Look at the history here, the Call of Duty franchise is among the very best FPS ever made and Infinity Ward was behind every major PC and console release. The Call of Duty games have never let me down in the past, and I doubt this one will be any different.

Outrage? Modern Warfare 2 leaked footage shows terrorist attack at airport (and you can hurt the civilians)

I'm sure by now you've seen the leaked Modern Warfare 2 footage (the video is down right now) that shows a terrorist situation inside an airport. The AP (and HuffPo) is making a big deal out of the fact that you can shoot civilians inside the airport. And? Are they trying to go with that weak argument, “Oh, violent video games make people violent”? How can people still believe that?
