FIFA Soccer 11, Pro Evolution Soccer 11 first details

Both EA and Konami have revealed details regarding the next FIFA, called FIFA Soccer 10 in the U.S., and Pro Evolution Soccer, called Pro Evolution Soccer 11, games, respectively. The first detail: they exist. There was approximately a zero percent chance that EA and Konami wouldn't continue with the franchises, but you and I know that big corporations make terrible decisions all the time. EA's big new feature is called Personality+, and it aims to make each player in the game as much like the player in real life. That is, Messi should be able to waltz pass defenders in-game as he does for Barcelona week in, week out, while Michael Carrick should be able to complete one pass in 50 as he does for Manchester United. Warner Bros. looking to reboot Superman movie franchise. Again.

Get ready for another movie franchise re-boot! Yes, Warner Bros. wants to re-boot Superman, and it wants Christopher Nolan to sorta oversee the project, but not direct it. EA Sports conducts survey to see what people think of Tiger Woods

EA Sports has been one of the last holdouts to stand by its sponsorship of Tiger Woods, the Tiger Woods PGA Tour series being one of the company’s more popular franchises. One of the survey questions, in particular, is pretty straightforward: “Has the controversy made you more or less likely to buy a Tiger Woods related video game in the future?”

lego sandwormPaul Atreides, House Harkonnen, Bene Gesserit, Sandworms -- what's not to love about Frank Herbert's Dune? And what better way to immerse yourself in that world than by recreating things in LEGO bricks! If LEGO were to create a packaged set for Dune, the way they have for Star Wars and Indiana Jones, I would certainly buy a couple, and feel no remorse whatsoever playing with them, alone, in my basement. Alas, no such sets have been made, so enterprising fans of less-mainstream sci-fi and fantasy franchises are left to their own devices to create their favorite things from whatever collection of colored plastic bricks they can assemble.

E3 2009: Why would you buy a PS3 in this day and age?

Are any of you ardent Sony PS3 supporters concerned with the way things have turned out? You lost Final Fantasy exclusivity (well, outside of Japan) at last year's E3, and Metal Gear this year. Those are two of the biggest franchises that made PlayStation what it is today. Or what it was yesterday, as it were. I'm just trying to think, if I were to buy a PS3 today, what's in it for me?
