Nokia N8 meets Bluetooth mouse and keyboard, has a good time (video)
Posted on June 16, 2010 | No CommentsNo, we're not revealing some great hidden feature here -- Nokias have been able to pair with Bluetooth devices since pretty much forever -- but throw a complete set of desktop implements together with the Finnish company's greatest new phone, and sparks of interest do fly. In this case, a pair of keen fellas have hooked a portable keyboard and a Logitech mouse up to the N8 and had some fun videotaping their exploits. If you're thinking this would make a pretty killer combination with the N8 plugged into an HDTV, well... you'd be right. Catch the video after the break.

The Parrot AR.Drone iPhone-controlled drone finally gets a price
Posted on June 15, 2010 | No Comments
The Parrot AR.Drone might be the coolest iPhone accessory ever made. It's a four-propeller drone equipped with two cameras controlled by the movement of an iPhone. But is it worth it's $300 price tag? Yeah, it actually is. We played around with it at CES and have to say that it's an awesome device with so much potential for fun and profit.

Posted on June 14, 2010 | No Comments
We’ve covered plenty of electric bicycles from Japan in the past, but there's a significant problem with most of them: usually they're really ugly, for example this one or this model from Toshiba. But just today, Yamaha has announced [JP] the PAS Brace-L, a nice-looking electric bike that's specifically towards the young and male part of the population.

Amazing Twitter World Cup mash-up needs to be seen right now
Posted on June 11, 2010 | No CommentsWhew! Day One of the World Cup is now behind us, and I wanted to take a moment to point y'all in a particularly awesome direction. The Guardian, one of my recommend sites from yesterday's catch-all post, has a truly amazing Twitter mash-up that needs to be seen to be believed. What it does is analyze tweets that occur during a game, then it creates a dynamic chart that corresponds to said tweets.

Posted on June 7, 2010 | No CommentsAs Steve Jobs was waiting (and waiting and waiting…) for a Web site to load on the new iPhone 4, a person in the crowd shouted “Try Verizon!” Awkward. For the record, Apple now blames the insane amount of Wi-Fi access points (500+) in the demo hall for the network fail. The fun and excitement [...] -
Is this the production version of Project Natal?
Posted on June 2, 2010 | No Comments
This is interesting. Engadget's live at D8 where Microsoft is showing off Project Natal. The funny thing is that the hardware looks surprisingly polished, a lot more so than the previous versions we've seen. Everything from the paint scheme to design cues scream production unit. But why spoil all the fun when E3 is just over a week away -- unless Microsoft is showing off something a lot bigger than Natal. That's our guess.

iPad accessories for fun and profit
Posted on June 2, 2010 | No CommentsIf Computex proves anything, it’s that what Asia makes the rest of the world takes… or at least thinks about taking before deciding to buy something else. Augmented Reality Space Invaders: Expensive. Impossible. Awesome. [Video]
Posted on May 28, 2010 | No Comments
Augmented Reality may not be super practical yet. But it sure is cool, and a lot of fun. And a new Android game looks to make it even more fun.
Space InvadAR is a new Android game by Zenitum. It's the world's first "vision-based" AR game, according to the team. And it looks awesome -- watch the video below.

Samsung is conducting a lesson in Brand Identity 101. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Android tablet is basically a gigantic Galaxy S i9000 in the same way that the iPad is an oversized iPhone. That's a good thing.
We're not entirely sure if the Galaxy Tab was supposed to go official yet, seeing as the pic and announcement came from the Samsung South Africa Twitter feed, but here she is. Seven inches of TFT fun.
