Posted on June 15, 2010 | No CommentsSony’s future isn’t motion control, but yet the other current home entertainment gimmick, 3D. Oh sure, Sony is fully embracing motion control as well with the Move and it works great, but let’s not call these two flavor of the weeks anything more than they are. They’re not revolutionary, groundbreaking, or really innovative. Both are [...] -
Control your Nexus One or Droid with a Wii Remote for fun and profit
Posted on May 10, 2010 | No CommentsIf you have a Nexus One or Motorola Droid and play classic games with an emulator, you must do this hack. It essentially turns the Nexus One into a full-fledge portable gaming system. The Wii Remote is even small enough to travel with, too. Can’t you see yourself pulling out the phone and firing up [...] -

Posted on April 28, 2010 | No Comments
Listen, I know it's easy to make fun of Boy Scouts. I've heard my share of "Go build a birdhouse" jabs being an Eagle Scout myself, but let's get this straight. The just-announced video game belt loop isn't for Boy Scouts, it's for elementary-aged Cub Scouts. So let's take it down a notch or two, Internet.

For the Nintendo 3DS? Hitachi develops glasses-free, mobile 3D display
Posted on April 12, 2010 | No Comments
Sony, Panasonic, NEC and now Sharp: All of these Japanese tech powerhouses are playing the 3D game now, but what about Hitachi? The biggest (sales-wise) of them all has been working on a glasses-free 3D projection system and sells a 3D cell phone in Japan (pictured), but Hitachi has been relatively quiet in terms of 3D.
Today, however, Hitachi Displays announced [JP] the development of a new 3.1-inch 3D LCD, which is - you guessed it - specifically designed for mobile devices.

Nintendo slowing Wii production lines
Posted on December 2, 2009 | No Comments
Even with a price cut and the holiday season, Nintendo is scaling back Wii production for some reason. Could it be that the gaming system has finally reached a market saturation point or that the company is prepping for the Wii 2? Probably both.

We're not entirely sure this thing exists in real life. The G-mate Gun Overlord just seems a bit too glorious. Even the video after the jump isn't enough proof. If it is real though, watch out, it could be awesome. Unless of course it's not and actually really lame.
