Pitch a perfect game in MLB 2K10, get a million bucks
Posted on January 28, 2010 | No Comments
Kids! Who needs school? Why sit in class learning about nothing important when you could be at home trying to pitch a perfect game in MLB 2K10? If your parents get all bent out of shape about you dropping out of school to play video games, kindly refer them to this post and direct their attention to the following statement: The first person to pitch a perfect game in MLB 2K10 gets a million dollars.

The cars are about as big as standard hot wheels and fold into the shape of a thick credit card. The toys will debut at the Toy Fair in February and include Batman and Army [...] -
MagicJack CEO: netTalk is garbage! netTALK: No we aren’t!
Posted on January 26, 2010 | No CommentsI love CEO spats. A few days ago the MagicJack CEO, Dan Borislow (Shown above at his party at CES. Seriously. It was just like that.) was talking about his femtocell and was all like: I’m sure you’ve heard of netTALK, the new magicJack rival. Any opinions on the device? It’s a piece of sh*t. It has [...] -
Michael Jackson. 3D. Grammy Awards. Rubbish.
Posted on January 21, 2010 | No CommentsI don’t know, guys, something about a Michael Jackson 3D video making its début at the Grammy Awards this year. You need to get the glasses at Target or Staples. 3D stinks, we all know. All it’s going to take is a big-shot director to give a speech at the Academy Awards saying, “Can we [...] -
PolyTune: The Violent Femmes tune all their guitar strings at once on the bus
Posted on January 15, 2010 | No Comments
You know how when you play someone's guitar for the first time at a party and one string is way high or low and you start to tune it and find that the guitar is total garbage and can't be tuned anyway and so you play "Closer to Fine" on an untuned guitar in the corner of the part and people are all like "Who's the douche playing Indigo Girls in 2010? I think his guitar is out of tune." Has that ever happened to you? Definitely, right?
Well Polytune tunes all your strings at once. You strum and it tells you which strings are out of tune. You fix those strings, strum again, and then people will never make fun of you again.

Dell and Goodwill add more free computer recycling drop off sites
Posted on December 16, 2009 | No Comments
Ever tried to get rid of an old, sack o’ crap computer? It's not as easy as it sounds. You can't just throw it in the garbage (legally), charitable organizations have finally realized that it takes more time and effort than it's worth to refurbish a 486 DX2/66 machine that nobody’s going to use anyway, and dumping the computer at your municipal recycling center often costs a pretty penny.

Should mankind be able to control the weather?
Posted on November 11, 2009 | No CommentsIn lieu of an actually interesting collection of words and punctuation marks, I present this debate that has nothing to do with us: the weather in China. It seems that they've figured out how to control the weather over there using super-duper technology called cloud seeding. You may have heard of it. The problem is that officials there are blaming scientists for causing a major snowstorm; more snow is expected in the coming days. Basically, it's snowing too much, too early, and the powers that be aren't happy.

Video: Wherein CBS makes a fool of itself by showing it has no idea what it’s talking about re: movie piracy
Posted on November 3, 2009 | No CommentsBias much, CBS? The network ran a report on 60 Minutes the other day (which shows how far off our radar the show is, seeing as though we just found out about it) that, according to TechDirt's fantastic report, is basically a piece of MPAA propaganda. It makes all sorts of ridiculous claims that can easily be disproven by, you know, spending two minutes looking this stuff up.

Posted on November 3, 2009 | No CommentsLong-suffering handset maker Sony Ericsson is all about the UX, people, and they’ve got the screens to prove it. Attention: Plex for Mac now plays well with Snow Leopard
Posted on October 28, 2009 | No CommentsIt's been some time since I've written about Plex, the Mac-specific fork of XBMC that, well, is fantastic. It seems Snow Leopard somewhat borked the application, but the latest release is all fixed up. Have a peach.

Attention those of you wanting to ding 80 in World of Warcraft: Zygor 2.0 guide is out today
Posted on October 20, 2009 | No CommentsReally, really big news today for World of Warcraft players. Today's the day that Zygor's leveling guide hits version 2.0. Leveling guides are used by players to hit level 80 (or, soon, 85) as quickly as possible so they can more quickly enjoy the endgame content. Think of them like GameFAQs or the old school Brady Games or Versus Books strategy guides.
