Posted on May 27, 2010 | 1 CommentValuestar N VN790/BS - that's the name of the 3D PC that NEC today announced [JP] for the Japanese market. Review: Plantronics Voyager PRO UC Bluetooth headset
Posted on April 27, 2010 | No CommentsThere’s a small market for Bluetooth headsets that come with auto-pairing dongles. Some peeps need a quick and reliable way to use software like Microsoft Office Communicator and Skype and so I tested out the Jabra GO 6430 a few weeks back. While I found the audio superb, it didn’t fit right in my ear. Plantronics [...] -
For the Nintendo 3DS? Hitachi develops glasses-free, mobile 3D display
Posted on April 12, 2010 | No Comments
Sony, Panasonic, NEC and now Sharp: All of these Japanese tech powerhouses are playing the 3D game now, but what about Hitachi? The biggest (sales-wise) of them all has been working on a glasses-free 3D projection system and sells a 3D cell phone in Japan (pictured), but Hitachi has been relatively quiet in terms of 3D.
Today, however, Hitachi Displays announced [JP] the development of a new 3.1-inch 3D LCD, which is - you guessed it - specifically designed for mobile devices.

Forget hearing aids. We’re talking about brain aids, people
Posted on March 23, 2010 | No CommentsNeeding assistance with your most basic of senses is never something anyone wants to advertise. Thus we’ve come up with handy ways of making them socially acceptable. Enough nerdy kids like myself needed glasses that they’ve become fashion accessories in and of themselves. Break free from the corporate Snuggie stranglehold by sewing your own
Posted on January 26, 2010 | No Comments
Are we still expected, in the year 2010, to pay $20 plus $8 shipping for a Snuggie? And another $8 shipping for a second bonus Snuggie? NO! Show the fat cats at the Snuggie conglomerate that you’re onto their little ruse. Take a big piece of fabric – any fabric you want! -- cut some arm holes, and sew some arms onto the arm holes.
We're about to get yet another
3D is everywhere! There's no use trying to stop it anymore! Soon we'll all be wearing silly and expensive glasses just to watch Pat Sajak -- or a neurosurgery operation.
Toshiba is a huge company, but it's not necessarily known as a maker
