Droid X to launch with Android 2.2?
Posted on June 23, 2010 | No CommentsTake it with the finest grain of salt for now (which, given that the Droid X is going to be announced in about an hour, shouldn’t be a big deal), but we just got a bit of a last minute tip regarding Verizon’s newest addition to the Droid line. According to our tipster, Verizon is doing [...] -
Rumor: Pegatron tapped for CDMA iPhone manufacture
Posted on May 12, 2010 | No Comments
The rumor mill is churning a bit more today with a brief piece on Digitimes about Pegatron, a Chinese electronics manufacturer, grabbing the contract for the manufacture of a CDMA iPhone compatible with, presumably, Verizon, Sprint, and international CDMA technologies.
Again, this is complete conjecture and Digitimes is often use to seed and power pump and dump scams, so we need to take things with a grain of salt. Generally, however, there is a grave confluence of "rumors" pointing to a potential Verizon iPhone but, as Sascha Segan, noted Verizon iPhone bear, tweeted yesterday, "Tomorrow you could be hit by a bus. And you'd have a lame phone. BC you were waiting for that Verizon IPhone."

iTunes 9.1 preventing jailbroken devices from syncing, breaking tethered jailbreaks?
Posted on March 30, 2010 | No CommentsHurray, it’s cat and mouse time again! iTunes 9.1 was just released, and it looks like Apple has taken yet another step (or two) in their endless fight against jailbreaking. Take this with a grain of salt for the time being, but we’re hearing a lot of early reports that jailbroken devices will not sync with [...] -
BBC Wildlife magazine shares secrets online
Posted on March 22, 2010 | No CommentsOne great thing about the internet is the number of people offering advice. Of course, sometimes you need to take that advice with a grain of salt, but photography advice is usually safe. Case in point; BBC’s Wildlife Magazine published a series of Photo Masterclasses in 2006/2007. The information still holds true now (theory rarely [...] -
Acer looking to launch super thin laptop with ‘touch keyboard’ this year?
Posted on March 8, 2010 | No Comments
Touchscreen keyboard sentiment can be divided into two camps: those who don’t mind it and those who can’t do without a physical keyboard. If you’re part of the first camp, you may be excited to hear that Acer might just be working on a notebook so thin that it uses a frameless screen and touch keyboard, according to DigiTimes.

Rumor: Apple Has Another Tablet In The Works. More Like A Mac Than An iPhone.
Posted on February 1, 2010 | No Comments
In the movie Contact, when revealing to main character Ellie Arroway (Jodie Foster) that there is actually a second space travel machine that was being built at the same time as the first one, but in secret, S.R. Hadden (John Hurt) says, "why build one when you can have two at twice the price?" Apple, it seems, may have the same line of thinking.
By now, we've all seen the iPad and know just about everything about it that we possibly can. But did you know that the secretive company may actually be hard at work on a second device already? Now, before I say anything else, take this information with a grain of salt. While it originated from a good source, it was a second-hand source. Meanwhile, I've corroborated some the main details with another source, but not some of the smaller ones. That said, from what I'm hearing, Apple is pretty far along on work on second tablet device. A bigger one. And this one may be much more like a Mac than an iPhone.

Hey T-Mo, we know the holidays are pretty much over, but could you validate these whispers for us? Thanks!

Apple TV only available in 160GB model now, price drops to $229
Posted on September 14, 2009 | No Comments
Remember Apple TV? It’s still around, there’s just no 40GB version any more. Not that 40GB would hold too much content nowadays anyway, especially with all the HD video available on iTunes and elsewhere. Previously priced at $229 for the 40GB model and $329 for the 160GB model, Apple is now offering just the 160GB model at the old 40GB model’s price of $229.

Rumor: Tegra-based devices running Chrome OS this month?
Posted on September 1, 2009 | No CommentsHere’s a nice, juicy rumor to start the day off on the right (or wrong) foot. Take this with a grain of salt, but I need to report that
Building upon the success of the custom ATI Xenos GPU that’s found in the current Xbox 360, Microsoft and ATI have apparently already struck a deal to continue using ATI chips in the next generation of Xbox consoles, according to Fudzilla.
