  • T-Mobile’s LG Sentio launching on June 30

T-Mobile’s LG Sentio launching on June 30

LG and T-Mobile had only been committing to a Summer release for their three-pack of new models, but now we've got a little more guidance on the most notable of the trio. The Sentio -- a low-end full touchscreen dumbphone with 3G and social networking goodies on board -- will be available on June 30 in all channels, so if you're a "connected socializer" aged 16 to 29 who's "in search of their first touchscreen phone," you might have a look. As long as you're cool with navy blue paired with silver accents, anyhow.

Dell Streak: $500 unlocked in US, available next month

digg_url = 'http://digg.com/gadgets/Dell_Streak_500_unlocked_in_US_available_next_month'; We've just learned at D8 today that Dell will be offering the Streak to US customers direct from its website -- unlocked -- starting next month for $500. That's later than the June 4 date that UK customers will be enjoying, but it's earlier than it could've been -- Dell had merely been giving "later this Summer" guidance previously. More on this as it develops!

  • Palm Says Revenue Will Be Lower Than Expected, Cites Slow Sales

Palm Says Revenue Will Be Lower Than Expected, Cites Slow Sales

Handset manufacturer Palm has updated its guidance this morning, indicating that revenues for the quarter and full year will be "well below its previously forecasted range of $1.6 billion to $1.8 billion". The company expects that revenues for the third quarter of fiscal year 2010 will be in the range of $285 million to $310 million on a GAAP basis. In a statement, Palm says disappointing sales are due to "slower than expected consumer adoption" of its products, resulting in lower than expected order volumes from carriers and the deferral of orders to future periods.

  • Possible new Windows Mobile 7 mockups give 6.5 a well-deserved spanking

Possible new Windows Mobile 7 mockups give 6.5 a well-deserved spanking

Certain user interface elements of the sundry Windows Mobile 7 mockups we've seen floating around over the years have remained more or less constant -- a general gravitation toward better touchscreen usability and some positively bizarre bottom-aligned signal and battery meters, most notably. WMExperts is showing off a newly-acquired document of some sort comparing screens in 6.5 and what was apparently supposed to be 6.5.1 -- the finger-friendly tweak of 6.5 that would precede 7 -- but those mockups on the bottom there have apparently been pushed forward and are now being repurposed as guidance for 7's visuals. For what it's worth, the mockups look so drastically different from 6.5 (and so similar to what we've seen prior 7 leaks) that we're inclined to believe this stuff was destined for 7 all along -- and it actually looks pretty snazzy, save for those dang meters down below -- but whatever, Microsoft, let's just get this moved to RTM already.
