Trying to track down those Chinese hackers
Posted on February 19, 2010 | No CommentsMore news from that China hacking deal. Investigators have tracked the attacks that befell Google and other victims to two schools in China, one of which has ties to the Chinese military. Whether or not this was an officially sanctioned series of attacks, or merely a couple of comp-sci students testing out their skills, clearly nobody knows. That's the beauty of these hacks: there's not a chance in hell there's going to be a "smoking gun," giving the hosts of The Today Show a three minute segment on Chinese hacking.

FIOS packages strike your fancy?
Posted on January 19, 2010 | No CommentsVerizon has a bunch of new FIOS packages that may interest you. The top of the pile is the Ultimate package, which gives you "90 or more" HD channels, plus an Internet connection of 35/35, which is 35 mbps download, 35 mbps upload. The upload speed is impressive, but I still have triple the download speed. (I seriously run at 11 MB/s when downloading from Usenet. It's almost unnecessary how fast it is.) This top package is $149 per month.

Kari from Mythbusters wants you to say hello to her leetle friend
Posted on November 5, 2009 | No Comments

The Windows 7 Launch Party packs ship out to hosts
Posted on October 7, 2009 | No CommentsGreat news, fellow Windows 7 Launch Party hosts. Your party pack should arrive soon. Be on the lookout for a UPS tracking email. Mine’s set to arrive this Friday. Now, all I need is some clever party games. And a few guests, too. Maybe I should watch the instructional videos again for some tips. -
Video: A terrible interview of Robert Carlyle about Stargate Universe
Posted on September 8, 2009 | No Comments
Okay, seriously, this is the worst interview ever. The hosts are clueless, mock the genre, and don't do the show justice. Oh, and WTF is up with the music at 0:55? Wow. Feel free to watch the whole 9:13 interview, but you may want to just skip forward to 6:38 for a new clip of Stargate Universe. Be warned though, you will cringe at the comments right after that clip.
