Is Christopher Nolan’s next Batman movie fated to be terrible?
Posted on May 3, 2010 | No CommentsYes, there will be another Christopher Nolan-directed Batman movie. This should be good news since the first two movies were good, certainly watchable. But what about this scary prediction: the movie will be garbage, and there's ample evidence to support this.

Huzzah! The iPhone 4G gets a Chinese clone [update: now with video!]
Posted on April 28, 2010 | No CommentsHow many Shanzai does it take to clone the new iPhone? Apparently one and he doesn’t need very long to do it, either. Bungie: The Halo 2 big E3 reveal back in 2003 was ’smoke and mirrors’

The craziest thing is that scientists only knew about it 15 hours before it flew by. So if you have any confidence that this planet is safe from giant space objects smashing into the surface, possibly destroying all life in the process, well, think again.

How do you like that, DVRs didn’t kill the television business after all
Posted on November 3, 2009 | No CommentsHere's a story I first heard on Figure 4 Daily last night while farming for mageweave (no, I'm not lying): not only have DVRs not ruined the TV businesses, as we had been led to believe for so many years, but it turns out that the delayed viewings, and more accurate ratings, have given the networks exactly what they've always wanted. That, of course, is the opportunity to squeeze more money out of their advertisers.
