Bug in Motorola CLIQ’s OpenGL implementation breaks a few games
Posted on November 3, 2009 | 1 CommentFiled under: Software, Motorola, Android
If you've run into trouble trying to load up Hexage's Buka or Totemo on your CLIQ, you're not alone -- it seems that some wonky handling of a few OpenGL API calls on Motorola's first Android device are causing heartache for users and developers alike. It's not clear how many apps in total make use of the calls, but we'd imagine they're in line to be fixed -- and thanks to the CLIQ's support for over-the-air updates, we're hoping those fixes come sooner rather than later. In the meantime, we suppose that DROID's always an option, right?

Posted on October 30, 2009 | No CommentsFiled under: Handsets, HTC, Motorola, Verizon Wireless, Android
So, you're a prospective Moto DROID customer. You've soaked up the review, studied the manual, and even built your own cardboard dock in anticipation of the big November 6 street date. What's next, you ask? Well, set your alarm early -- if the rumors are true, Verizon Wireless will be opening its retail shops at 6:00 AM sharp. Of course, all that is in addition to the Droid Eris, which is rumored to be making its debut on that auspicious date as well. So what's the plan, guys -- wake up early or camp out the night before?

Mattel Mindflex game available for pre-order
Posted on May 24, 2009 | No Comments
Hey, Mike. John here. Remember that weird telekinesis game you liked from CES this year? It's available at Amazon for pre-order, so go ahead and pick it up. It's going to cost $99 and I personally think it's garbage but I know you and the TC team were into it so go ahead and buy it. When I'm in town for WWDC I'll school you all in Jedi mind games. "This is not the blogger you're looking for."
Our video after the jump.
