Tim Burton's upcoming Alice in Wonderland movie is getting even us excited. But let's turn back time 107 years for a second to watch the first Alice in Wonderland movie ever made. This version from 1903 (imdb entry), recently restored by the British Film Institute, isn't even 10 minutes long, but it's pretty cool, especially when you consider when the movie was filmed.

New device coming from Syabas, the makers of Popcorn Hour, at CES ‘10

Popcorn Hour is a great product and loved by many nerds. But that's just it, the device is somewhat nerdy. Apparently the maker, Syabas, has another Internet-connected device coming and it will be shown off at CES 2010. While certain key points are missing right now like the price, availability, and hardware specs, what little info I do have makes this box sound promising indeed.

Next up on Boxee: Sony Picture’s Crackle

Boxee is only days away from announcing the details about its upcoming hardware venture, and the good news keeps rolling. Crackle, which is a site I've never heard of but is apparently a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, is the latest video site to be available on Boxee. Actually, this is really good news for Boxee users. Crackle has some great shows.

Netflix is in a spot of trouble. The movie rental company has been sued by a woman who claims that it ostensibly revealed her sexual orientation. Against her wishes, obviously. Such an act amounted to an invasion of privacy, the suit argues.
As just discussed in the CrunchGear chatroom, I don't know anything about District 9 because I'm eventually going to see it. All I need to know is that right now the movie is ranked number 26 on
