Video: LG Ally mid-range QWERTY reviewed
Posted on May 18, 2010 | No Comments
So, you've been with us from the beginning, back when Ally first popped her head out into the wild, then during her adventures with Iron Man, and finally, with her full spec sheet leak.
You two have grown so close over the last month, that it seems that all you now need to achieve completeness is a video review.
Oh, hullo, looky here!

Buy Pepper’s swinging desk sculpture from ThinkGeek
Posted on May 14, 2010 | No CommentsThinkGeek is just awesome. Apparently the staff screened Iron Man 2 with the goal of seeking out cool gadgets they can offer geeks like us. Well they managed to find Pepper Potts’ swinging desk thing. I’m sure it will probably end up annoying you as much as it did Tony Stark but it’s still awesome. [...] -
LG’s $100 Ally crashing Verizon stores on May 20th, pre-orders start tomorrow (update: now with specs)
Posted on May 12, 2010 | No CommentsWe had a hunch that LG's Android 2.1-based Ally would see its first customers on May 20th, and Verizon Wireless has finally opened up and confirmed as much this morning. The Iron Man 2-infused smartphone -- which we spent some time with yesterday -- will be available in all VZW stores beginning May 20th, with pre-orders going live for phone and web customers tomorrow. We've already given you the rundown when it comes to specs (they're after the break for those with memories shorter than their shoelaces), but now we're able to confirm that it'll sell for $99.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and a new two-year contract. A well-specced Android smartphone for under a Benjamin? Not bad, LG.
Update: Nothing in particular to write home about, but LG has just unveiled the Ally's nearly complete spec sheet. [Thanks, Rey E.]LG's $100 Ally crashing Verizon stores on May 20th, pre-orders start tomorrow (update: now with specs) originally appeared on Engadget on Wed, 12 May 2010 09:24:00 EST. Iron Man 2 will be the widest release in history (and it’s already made $121 million overseas)
Posted on May 6, 2010 | No CommentsExcited for Iron Man 2? How could you be, after finding out that the movie's producers removed all of the first movie's charm? But, whatever, let's not mince any words: the movie will be huge. It opens at midnight tonight here in the U.S. in what threatens to be the widest movie release in the history of movie releases. Actually, "threatens" is the wrong word to use: it will, in fact, be the widest release ever.

Posted on May 1, 2010 | No Comments
After her quick appearance yesterday, everybody's favourite Korean vanilla Android QWERTY handset, the LG Ally, has made her public début in an Iron Man 2 themed commercial.
There's explosions. Boom! There's weapons! Bam! There's some hot Iron Man action! (that came out wrong...)
Check it out, after the break. You'll love it.

Surprise: Iron Man 2 nowhere near as good as the first one
Posted on April 28, 2010 | No CommentsThat's funny. When I last wrote about Iron Man 2, I had guessed that Scarlett Johansson would be the only reason to see the movie, and it looks like I was right! The first review of the movie has been published, and it includes this: "Meanwhile, [Johansson] struts through the film in various stages of dress and undress, which might be the best thing about Iron Man 2 for its younger male fans." Other than that? The movie is hot garbage. Go figure.

Volcano causes Iron Man 2 premiere to be moved from London to Los Angeles
Posted on April 19, 2010 | No CommentsTerribly important news! The Iron Man 2 premier has been moved from London to Los Angeles due to the travel complications created by the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull. If Iron Men were real, he would have placed a giant filter on top of the volcano, preventing all of this chaos from the get-go. This volcano is [...] -
New Iron Man 2 trailer is here (and it’s awesome)
Posted on March 8, 2010 | No CommentsWe've given you a first look at Iron Man 2 way back in June last year, and two months ago, we reported it will be Marvel’s first IMAX movie when it hits screens on May 7, 2010. It's 2.32 minutes long and very, very cool.
