PSA: Futurama returns tonight, make sure you set your DVR!
Posted on June 24, 2010 | No CommentsJust a friendly reminder, Futurama returns to Comedy Central tonight. And while I made a joke about setting your DVR, please watch it live. Particularly if you are a Neilsen family. It’s only going to stay around if you watch the show, and the networks still think it only counts if you watch it live, [...] -
HP’s CTO makes more noises about Slate not running Windows
Posted on June 17, 2010 | No Comments
At a recent conference about tablets and the future of publishing, there was a Q&A with the CTO of HP's person systems group. While he used typical CTO doubletalk, there was a few nuggets of information to be gleaned from his rather cryptic words on the future of products like HP's Slate PC.

Posted on June 3, 2010 | No CommentsWouldn't it be embarrassing if you activated your new EVO 4G in the store tomorrow morning and you didn't immediately know how to fire up a Qik video call? UK ISPs prepare for Digital Economy P2P fallout
Posted on April 13, 2010 | No CommentsThe Digital Economy Act passed in the UK, as you know, and it's pretty terrible. One of the more spicy sections of the law involved peer-to-peer use, and how it basically makes ISPs responsible for what their customers download. So if HBO finds that you've been download “The Pacific,” (really good show, by the way, much to my surprise) it can contact your ISP, who's then responsible for telling you to knock if off. If not, you face a truly horrible punishment: you're sent to Stoke! (That's a joke, people!)

Anti-CrunchDeal: Refurb Dell XPS M1530 Core 2 Duo notebook for only $4,536
Posted on April 1, 2010 | No Comments
Whoa there, Dell. This is one hell of deal you have here in the Dell Outlet. A used XPS M1530 notebook for $4,536? It better come bundled with a used Mercedes-Benz because there is nothing about this notebook that's worth over $800 anyway.

Yay! Everyone's favourite file-sharing and document-syncing service,
Remember how the Tauntaun sleeping bag ThinkGeek made as an April Fool’s joke was later turned into an
