RHEX: The hexapod robot

The RHEX is a general purpose six-legged robot that can right itself and climb stairs. It can walk, run, and creep at almost any speed and it's shown here clattering around on the floor and then climbing stairs. It appears the RHEX has been in the works for years but recently he's been modified for use in toys and military applications.

Oregon Scientific launches the +ECO solar-powered line with the Clima Control

Launched earlier this week from Oregon Scientific is the first of many solar powered gadgets under the +ECO line, the Clima Control personal weather station.
It tracks the temperature and humidity in up to four separate locales within your home or outdoors with the help of wireless temperature and humidity sensors. The solar panel located on the back of the +ECO Clima Control juices up in roughly eight hours and will last up to three months before the battery is depleted.
Man, it's a big day for ol' Red when it comes to software updates. All signs are indicating that the near-mythical Android 2.1 update for the Droid is beginning to trickle out right this second, and now they've announced that the BlackBerry Tour 9630 is getting bumped up to OS 5.0.
