Time to make your “Move” and pre-order Sony’s latest gadget

Good news Sony fans, turns out that it's time to start warming up that credit card and ordering your PS3 Move controller. It's starting to show up as being available for pre-order (along with a few other tasty bits). Remember it'll be officially available in the US on September 19th, but you might want to pre-order since Sony kind of has a habit of running out of product when they first come out.

Don’t Buy The HTC EVO, It Is A Seriously Flawed Device

Let's start things off with a disclaimer - I love Android phones. Last year I left the iPhone and switched to Android largely because of the amazing usefulness of Google Voice, and only Android devices truly let you take over your phone with a Google Voice app and have the perfect experience. I have extensively tested nearly all Android phones to date. Around TechCrunch I'm the die hard Android Fan (Jason Kincaid is a close second). MG Siegler irrationally loves the iPhone and it has become an important fashion accessory and self confidence crutch in his San Francisco hipster lifestyle. I'm pretty sure Apple could remove the iPhone's ability to make calls entirely and MG would still find a way to love it. You can read his review of iPhone 4 here. Summary: "It's Awesome."

Exemode SQ28m: Cute mini designer digital camera (video)

Japanese camera maker Exemode has developed the SQ28m [JP, the site is currently down], a mini digital camera that's quite nice design-wise. The device is sized at just 53×23×19mm, weighs21g, can be used with your key chain and is available in red or blue. The SQ28m features 64MB internal SDRAM, but there's also a microSD slot that you can feed with 2GB cards. It sports a 1/2.7" 195MP CMOS sensor that lets you shoot JPEGs in 1,280x1,200 and video as Motion JPEG or AVI in 320×240 resolution and at 8fps. You can transfer all material you shot to your computer via USB 1.1.

HTC’s 2010 roadmap goes on display?

digg_url = 'http://digg.com/hardware/HTC_s_2010_phone_roadmap_leaked'; Those among us with minds like steel traps might recall that HTC's 2009 was leaked with shocking accuracy way back in January of this year, which lends some credibility to this already-believable series of slides we have seemingly showing off most of the good stuff we can expect out of the company in the coming months. The stuff we're privy to here was allegedly presented at a meeting in Vienna back in October, with both Windows Mobile and Android designs broken up into four target demo categories: Design / Lifestyle, Social, Performance (we like the sound of that), and Productivity -- but don't take our word for it. Follow the break for everything you need to know about this very real-sounding downpour of specs and renders.

The new Palm Pixi commercial: The mystery witch is dead!

It’s a new day at Palm. The Pixi, Palm’s Treo-esque addition to the WebOS line-up, is getting new commercials without Miss Crazy Face and her magical Pre. Instead, you get hot people taking pictures of each other and having fun. This is the kind of commercial that I call the McCafe (or Devin’s lifestyle in Seattle) - excited people doing something exciting. It’s a big departure from Palm and a points to a move towards the mainstream.

Facebook ain’t cool with the kids no more

Sorry, but social networks simply aren't cool anymore among the 15-to-24-year-old crowd. (I'm 23, and have all but quit Facebook (I stopped tweeting a few months ago), but that's more of a function of me being an anti-social cad than anything else.) Why? It seems the older crowd—people 25 and older—has given social networks the unmistakable stench of being not cool. Why would an 18-year-old kid want to mimic the lifestyle of a 30-year-old?
