We've written about the Viper SmartStart system before. It's the $30-per-year iPhone/BlackBerry app that, when paired with a $500 component in your car, ensures that you never have to worry about strenuous nonsense like turning a key to start your car or unlock your doors ever again.
Up until this point, its been a one way deal. You can tell your car to turn on and fire up the AC, or use your alarm to scare the hell out of people in parking lots miles away - but what if your car wanted to talk back to you?

Why learn to actually use a keyboard nowadays? It’s all ROFL, LMAO, RTFM, TLDR, and GFY anyway. In that spirit -- or in the spirit of helping “hunt ‘n peck typists or novices and young beginners,” according to the product description – the $23 Fast Finger keyboard makes the complicated QWERTY layout and difficulty of typing 3-4 letter acronyms a thing of the past.

That's right, you won't be buying “draft n” routers anymore, as the Wi-Fi Alliance has updated its tests, going from “draft n” to “Wi-Fi Certified n.” Does that make a difference in your everyday computing? No, probably not—how many years now have we been using “draft n” items with nary an issue?

Safety: Obama Administration now looking to eliminate texting while driving
Posted on September 30, 2009 | No CommentsLooks like the Obama Administration, which really ought to be focused on getting Americans like me affordable health care (unless doctors now accept World of Warcraft Gold as payment, lol!), has set its sights on eliminating the scourge of distracted driving once and for all. Case in point: Transportation Sec. Ray LaHood is holding a summit this week that has the ultimate goal of “finding ways to eliminate texting while driving.”

Sony kills (for now, at least) UMD transfer program for PSP Go

As you all know, the PSP Go comes out next week, and judging by all the random unboxings I've seen on various message boards—maybe our PSP Go got lost in the mail? Oh, well.—it looks like a fine, fine piece of hardware. The kicker, though, is: what happens to all those UMD games we've bought over the years? The original plan was to have some sort of trade-in or transfer program, whereby for every UMD you bought, you'd get a code to download the game. (Remember, there's no UMD slot in the PSP Go, so all games have to be downloaded onto the device's memory.) Turns out there's a small glitch.
